One could argue that is a failure of his character in terms of being too scared of conflict, rather than wanting to remain 'woke', but either way it's not a good look and it has gotten pretty transparent.

Little bit late to the wake but I used to be part of a community where this psycho is pretty notorious. She falsely accused several people of rape and/or sexual assault, including her boyfriend at the time, and led a witch hunt against a guy who she claimed whipped his dick out on Skype, something that was later proven false but only after he'd basically been excommunicated by a huge number of people. She was also infamous for sharing information she had been told in private, slandering and lying about various people that had confided in her and severing all ties with "friends" at a moment's notice (some of which came after large amounts of money had changed hands). She's been doing this while jumping from community to community for a few years now. The rabbit hole goes deep with this one.

maybe so, but remember, jim's probably going to the funeral, you'd think, right? if he's going to the funeral, to put a video out now wouldnt be the right time. who knows what the funeral arrangements are, and theres no telling how this is going to affect his peers who provide content. no doubt a lotta organization is probably gonna have to go down to be able to accomodate all of his friends and family. maybe its giving people like jim pause to collect his thoughts and do something longer than a 10-15 minute vid. at least thats my theory
