Dobson, you dummy bear, you're not making money off of "going viral" because it's not your art spreading your political comics, it's the relevant hot takes. No one cares about the artistic content, just whether they want to nod their head and agreement or not and argue whether ICE is LITERALLY NAZIS.

Which, as we know, he won't actually do. The moment he was actually obliged to do anything to earn that money, it would become work, and he simply refuses to work.
If he were a little smarter and a little more honest, he'd just set his Patreon to "tip jar" mode. No tiers, no rewards, just donate what you want to help support him. But since all his "friends" do reward tiers, he has to do reward tiers, and I also think on some level he knows perfectly well that no one actually wants to pay him just to be him. (Which is part of why he's so angry all the time, he really believes he deserves to be paid just for being him.)

You know, I'm half-convinced that I should make a short online graphic novel, entitled "The Fake Ally." And it would be all about a fat narcissist who makes crappy comics that pander to SJWs and his own perverted fetishes, and can't understand why he isn't making money from his comics. Now, that would be funny, yes, even though it would be a lot of work. But I can't help but think that the irony would be if it made more money than Dobson ever has for his shit. BONUS: Imagine ads for it plastered all over FB and Twitter, where Dobson and his "friends" would be sure to see them, and tempted to check it out. Tagline: "He claimed to be a friend of social justice, but he was only in it for himself."

I'd say go for it. You could always make a Patreon for it, that way any success it brought you would have something even more tangible to compare against Dobson. It wouldn't exactly be hard for you to surpass him, you'd only need about thirty people willing to donate a buck apiece for a page per month to surpass him completely.

For a moment, he struck a spark and people liked what he was doing.
But he didn't get that once that happens, other people won't like what you are doing and they will bitch about it, and in typical Internet fashion, you will get death threats and dumbshittery.
I have lost count of the number of "death threats" I've gotten over the years, because who cares? None of these fucking people even know who you are and none of them are going to kill you.
