I have some experience communicating with Jason. I wish I could recount it for you but, I'd have to sacrifice anonymity for that. I can tell ya he's certainly a con artist, through and through, and definitely mislead me regarding work I was supposed to be doing for him in the past. Glad I don't deal with furries anymore!

I could try to find a link maybe later when I feel more up to it, but one of the most interesting things he ever did in my opinion was when he uhhh.. publicly self diagnosed himself as a sociopath through an FA journal.. because of an internet quiz he took and promised his fans he'd 'work on it' and try to 'get better' and it was the most bizarre self serving publicity stunt I've ever seen.
I have no idea what he was trying to get at with that but it felt really off. He got a lot of praise from people for.. not giving in to medication and psychotherapy for his.... condition. Like sociopathy is a conscious decision rather than a brain malformation.
I guess being an unmedicated sociopath is a good thing to the furry fandom? I don't know, I really couldn't tell you what the hell that was about.

How does he figure that? He can't even make a dime without using other, actual artists' work.
 
The ego thing is nothing new as far as artists go. Western and eastern artists revel in ego disease and abuse their sheepish fanbase to the max.

Except Jason is not an artist, and he barely qualifies as an animator. Where did the ego come from you might ask? Is popularity the root cause for people acting like manipulative jerkasses? Or are there underlying issues with the person that popularity magnifies? Either way Jason is a dickhead McCucklord, but I find the psychology of e-fame to be intriguing.

I think with the rise of Diives and other animators who can animated for more then 10 seconds and who post more often. Jasonafex is losing his shit and have to craw back to old drama just to stay popular.
