Most A-logged Characters In Fiction. - A surprisingly prevalent phenomenon.

So I take it no one wants to bring up Love Hina? At all? Okay then.

Technically, the entire harem/cast could be put up here, but Naru gets it the most when it's not Su. Granted, it's anime-only because the anime's just a painful sit altogether and who knows why the fuck the staff made the series worse than it actually is, but still.

Probably posted already but definitely Shinj from the original Neon Genesis Evangelion. I haven't watched the newer ones.

The amount of hate this kid gets acting the way he does is crazy. He's in middleschool and NGE was suppose to be a deconstruction of the super robot genre. He's not suppose to act like Ryoma from Getter Robo or Guy from GGG.

I know that sounded pretentious but its the best way I could word my point.

And yes I like Shinji and NGE.

Hiyoko Saionji from Danganronpa mainly cause I have seen people wanting to torture her and stuff like that because she is a bully. One person even compared her to the devil, when she is just a harmless bully.

self insert, has a self righteousness about it, popular culture references (for its time), lashes out at RL people by banning them to purgatory/hell (chris recently put Cole in his equivalent of purgatory for instance)

I mean it's a loose comparison but whatever.

Oh yeah, and dante's inferno is a giant lovequest.

I agree especially considering the love interest is someone who Dante met two times IRL and is also married. Doesn't help Dante himself is married with children.

To add on, all of Dante's heroes praise him for his long winded self righteous political rants, has his favorite poets praise him as being one of them, and he is seen as someone who is heroic or deserving to be free of sin despite wishing death upon entire cities because people he doesn't like live there.

Well those people should get a hangnail and die.

I've seen people hate Chiaki from the same game though. Mainly cause she's "Stereotypical gamer waifu bait."

I know a lot of people who hate Peggy Hill. Can’t say I blame them.
Every time I see someone bitch about Peggy Hill I'm left feeling like they're just projecting their mommy issues onto the character. Yeah she's vapid and self-centered but she's not the abusive monster the internet claims she is.

Personally, I'm of the opinion if you get seriously worked up over how much you hate TV characters, you should probably just stop watching TV.

If Peggy wasn't a cartoon, I can guarantee you she'd get more death threats than Jack Gleeson from autists who take TV way too seriously.

:powerlevel:When I watched Modern Family with my family, my parents were pretty big a-logs of Lily (the gay couples' daughter) because they couldn't stand the actress playing her.:powerlevel:

Also, Zach Goodweather from The Strain gives Joffrey a run for his money for most a-logged child character. And while we're on the subject, Carl from The Walking Dead was a-logged pretty heavily in the earlier seasons, but as he got older it started to die down and I noticed a lot of fans start to like him. Heck, that's kind of trend with the show: characters go from being a-logged to admired (see also, Gabriel, Dwight, and Carol).

Captain Qwark is funny, but spergs think characters should never have big egos and should always praise the hero for “doing a good”.
I'm not Qwark's biggest fan, but I understand what kind of character he is perfectly and how the games would be much less of what they are without him. However, I don't expect a bunch of Enterbots/weebs to fucking get it, let alone not look like hypocritical idiots.

Rufus from Street Fighter IV
Agree to disagree: I don't think he gets enough hate, being a fat fuck is bad enough, though. At least E. Honda is fat, but fit and knows how to fight proper in his own style (and being a Sumo wrestler isn't easy, either.).

The Minions from the Despicable Me franchise also get a-loged by certain people as if they are the coming of the aniamted antichrist.

Now I can understand some of the problems people have with them. They are after all very basic in design, not very intelligent and Illumination forces them in your face. But at the same time, aside of their made up glibberish language I don't think they are that terrible. They are overall at least passable little balls of nothing, meant to function as probes for physical cartoon comedy. But go to the animation reviewers on youtube and they sperg out about how they can't even eat tic tacs anymore cause their form reminds them of the minions.

The only thing I can agree on with some of these people is that a) the minions are overhyped within Illuminations movies and b) it is ridiculous that their movie made over 1 billion at the box office.
But even then, I am actually not against their sucess.

Minions are epic.
