Brittle bone disease is caused by genetics and bone infarction is most commonly caused apparently by trauma and heavy alcoholic usage.

So with Phil's gin habits, there's always hope, but if you wanted a serious answer to your question, no, not really. More likely if they were suffering from those things, streaming might be the healthiest choice of a profession they made since they can avoid moving too much with their brittle bones but still have some sort of minor exercise at home to do their best to stay healthy.

I just had a lack of sleep induced insomnia thought: In the 30th Anniversary Collection version of SSF2T Phil says that the game is running too fast and that's why he's not any good at it, but he's also constantly complaining about lag, lag abuse tactics, reverse lag (what even is this?), etc. So wouldn't the lag cancel out the slightly faster gamespeed and Phil with his unsullied, pristine, atomic clock precision, Tournament 4th placing, arcade cabinet skills should be consistently ROFLstomping any and all contenders whenever he is complaining about small amounts of lag?

As a side-note, here's a scientific study that seems to indicate there may be a correlation between alcoholism and long-term spatial processing deficits in the brain. The only people who are suddenly nice to him are possible trolls. The story goes like this, every time:
"I watched only detractor videos of you and was a hater, but then I watched your streams and videos and now I'm a fan."

Either trolls or, if this is genuine, people think he's an intentional parody before waking up to reality. Or just autism.

But afaik he's currently two sub goals behind and hasn't even really announced what this month's is (since he already hit it and doesn't give a fuck).

Not defending the pigroach, but the arcade mode of Super Turbo is infamously difficult and the AI basically cheats. They apparently fixed that in later revisions of the board, but the collection uses the original US releases of all the games.

I was under the impression that this only applies to Super Turbo, though.
Played the collection myself last week and beat 3rd Strike on normal without any problems at all.
Super Turbo's "normal" on the other hand was pretty hard.

That's fine, but he still promised to beat all the games on the hardest difficulty.

Apparently him and his fans just memory holed it since he hit the reward number then never mentioned t again.

And hasn't mentioned this months goal I don't think? Afaik he still needs to play HL2 (this is admittedly on the schedule) for Patron's Choice, SF Hardest AI, and maybe even another Rageathon.

DSP has since finished Unravel 2, so I imagine this is like the Extinction "ragequit" where he ragequit the stream at his usual clockout time and then continued it the next day to finish it anyway.
Also DSP has looked up guides during recording YouTube gameplay videos too, best example I can remember was fighting Metroid Prime in Metroid Prime... I think he wasn't even streaming that session, but he still left the video recording as he looked up a guide.

As someone mentioned upthread, these trolls do more to prop Phil up than not. The escort bit, copyright strikes, mod infiltration and now someone "clearly" lying about depression to bait Phil only add to Phil's arsenal "see, look how obsessed these people are to go after me!"

It's irrelevant at this point. DSP has produced people like myself and Fred Fuchs, he already has more than enough evidence of obsessed insane people stalking him.

It's just a reminder of how sluggish his Patreon perks getting setup->everyone posted their game nominations->a week+ for the voting thread to complete process is.
I've also gotta laugh that he doesn't even dare run Half-Life 2 on his $3K lemon at the same time as recording. That game came out in 2004 and targetted the Radeon 9800/GeForce 6800 GPUs - at least 5 nVidia GPU generations behind his current 780Ti. Compare and contrast to the Christmas marathon Santa themed Viscera Cleanup Detail title: requires GeForce 8 (a generation ahead of HL2, 4+ behind the 780Ti) and recommends a GTX 560 (~3 generations ahead of HL2, ~1 behind the 780Ti) and DSP had no issues running & capturing it.

It's pretty funny the dude doesn't even know his own specs and he's owned it for this long. He's really not a technical person at all which is what really baffles me about him getting in to youtube and streaming, I mean they're not demanding technical fields like programming but you need to at least know some basic shit and the more you know the more you can do. It really seems like he fears playing any game on his PC that isn't an indie while streaming. I can't wait for his computer to start having issues, honestly that's more likely to kill his streaming career than attention hungry trolls.

The thing that will kill his streaming career is this one simple fact. Dust. His lack of cleaning anything in that room he calls an office will burn out everything with a chipset overtime. I could imagine how bad all of his fans look.
