for some odd reason i didnt get the email in my inbox, i checked my spam folder and it wasnt there either.

im gonna assume that gmail notice the malware and removed it automatically? can they do that @GethN7

one of the people who is a mod from the Company Bumpers wikia has aquired admin powers on the logopedia and is helping us throw nate off of wikia.

nate is going crazy from getting his sockpuppet accounts blocked.

Typically, if a message contains a bare, attached program, most email providers will try to block it before you get it.

His previous mails had them in zip folders, which is likely why they passed this hurdle.

Thats probably a good idea. I dont really want to see him go to jail so I think Geth should have exhausted all options before contacting the FBI. I know most people have given up on him stopping but its just more reason to keep trying. Ultimately his parents control what he does, but they have to want to do it.

Maybe they just want someone else to babysit their son for free? They've let the internet do it for all this time despite the trouble Nate has gotten into and still seem to be in the dark despite all the warning signs their son and other people who have dealt with him have given him

Well, at this point, it's is mix of being resigned to the fact their spawn is a mental case, wanting it to be someone else's problem, old age (both are elderly), and being so scared of making him worse they'd rather do nothing.

I'd pity them if their impotence wasn't making this worse.

The good news is that I've already not only laid the ground to get his ISP suspended, I'm also limiting whatever damage he can do even after that, assuming he doesn't get arrested or his parents suddenly give a shit.

Thankfully, his mental instability has narrowed his list of targets to discrete websites and areas of interest, and I've found myself in a position to cut down on the amount of damage he has been able to do in the extreme. Before I intervened, Wikia was at this bastard's mercy and TV Tropes was little better off.

Now, most of Wikia has been rendered impotent for him to much if any damage to and TV Tropes has gotten fairly effective at nulling any reigns of terror he used to inflict at will. Given that unless he tries to physically assault me ordering his arrest will be difficult (and I thankfully live nowhere near the madman), his chances of arrest remain low unless even this doesn't inspire someone to care, but given his heightened derangement, it's only a matter of time on his end.

I'm also grateful that while he's proven to be a menace, he's completely unsubtle and incompetent. If he were actually intelligent beyond simple deceptions he can't help but screw up because his mania seeps through everything, he'd be more than just a moderate nuisance, even the malware lacks subtlety.

I read the entire thread from start to finish in one go. First it was funny, then it was sad, then it got funny again, then it got sad again because the saga is currently on a cliffhanger.

My question is, if the hammer is dropped on Nate, could his parents be charged with some sort of negligence for allowing their special needs son to commit cybercrime?

Likely, but those charges would have to be filed by someone other than me.

His ISP, depending on the severity, may turn what they have over to law enforcement and let them take it from there, but by that point it's no longer in my hands.

Unless you're Microsoft or something, the FBI isn't going to do shit no matter how criminal the actions of the perp are. The FBI doesn't give a shit about you or me. They give a shit about huge corporations. So if Facebook calls them up and reports a "crime," they're going to go after that. You or me? Nope! They couldn't care less.

kay. Wikia and tvtropes have also been alerted to the malware so it is slightly possible the fbi could get involved. We'll just have to wait and see for now
