There's a lot more everyday petty crime committed than there are mass shootings, the fact the border wall probably won't have any effect on serial killers or SEC violations on Wall Street doesn't mean it's useless.

in fact, the only crime it's stated to stop is illegal border crossing..... so what if it can't make french fries too?

Do any of you guys know what “Latinx” means? I keep seeing it in SJW-written news articles and Tumblr posts. Is it a “less offensive” way of calling someone Latino or Hispanic, or is it something made up by SJWs?

It's the "gender neutral" variant of "Latina" or "Latino," since those two words are used to denote a female or male person of Latin descent, respectively. "Latino," however, is also used to denote the entire population of those of Latin descent in the same way "man" is used to denote the entirety of humanity. These people are just idiots.

Before you ask, no I don't know how it's supposed to be pronounced.

Even with this explanation, I’m still confused. Why don’t they just use the term “Hispanic”? As far as I can tell, that word doesn’t have any gendered variants.

It's made up by SJWs, meant to be the gender neutral version of Latina/Latino (even though Latino is used for that.) People who speak Spanish as a first language dislike the term, and it's mostly English speaking 'woke' white people who try to push it. I think it's meant to be pronounced like Lateen-Ex.

I've actually seen one post on that, they say calling people hispanic is offensive because Spain conquered land.

It's just stupid troon shit because troons are angry that Spanish has gendered nouns, so instead of saying "Latino" or "Latina," they invent this white people bullshit that no actual Spanish speakers use.

Police officers in Crafton, Pennsylvania, arrested a 52-year-old black man, Robbie Sanderson, for shoplifting at a CVS in September of 2016. He called them Nazis, skinheads, and Gestapo as they cuffed him.

Because of those epithets, Sanderson was charged with "ethnic intimidation." Insulting the officers in such terms was an anti-white hate crime, from the perspective of the authorities. Sanderson had made bias-motivated "terroristic threats," they claimed. The alleged motivation increased the seriousness of Sanderson's crime from a first-degree misdemeanor to a third-degree felony.

I'm just remembering that article about the woman who said "I hate white people" before attacking the white bus patrons that concluded saying it wasn't clear if her assault was racially motivated. Now the law is treating "skin head" as a racial slur.

One thing, though, is that this specific instance isn't how hate crime laws work. The guy didn't commit a crime because it was racially motivated. He was just ranting while being arrested.

Sounds like they're going in the absolute wrong direction on this one. Just randomly ranting while committing a crime, or resisting arrest, when someone is in a fucked up state and just raging, doesn't prove they had some racial motivation for it. If someone explicitly states a racial motivation for a crime before committing it, then commits it like they said they would, that's one thing. If they say a bunch of dumb shit while they're being arrested and acting like a COPS episode, that should really not mean shit unless it's relevant to the crime, like they actually admit to details of it.

Cops need thicker fucking skins. If the only thing the guy you were arresting did was say mean words, get the fuck over it, snowflake.

This is part of why I disagree with the very concept of "hate crimes."

This does raise the question as to where free speech ends, and I do agree that the accusations of a racially motivated offense isn't justified in this instance.

Hate crime laws are basically that a charge is made worse because it was fueled by racial hatred. This crime, however, was not. The guy was shoplifting and started ranting when he was arrested, he didn't commit a crime because he had racial hatred towards white people.
