Politisperg TV Tropes is the absolute worst. Where else could you find "Fuck Drumpf" sperging combined with an autistic obsession with MLP.

Here's something from the YMMV page for Sing.

• The movie's release saw a spot of controversy about Johnny and Big Daddy/Marcus. The film came under accusations of racism for the depiction of criminal gorillas with a number of fans feeling that they were harmful African American stereotypes (black people being both monkeys and criminals) especially with Johnny's perceived interest in rap. Others felt that the accusation of racism over two fictional gorillas voiced by white British people was itself a racist assumption that existed because of those critics projecting stereotypes onto the characters. And then there are the people who don't believe the movie is racist at all, and think that certain viewers are trying to make a big deal over an issue that isn't even there.

The projection here is far too strong.
