when Sargon says he's "a liberal" he means in the sense of economic and philosophical liberalism, not "a liberal" in the sense of somebody like Maxine Waters or Rachel Maddow.
Right, a libertarian.
it's also worth considering his stances on social issues: he's pro gay marriage, loves his porn and weed, and anti-religion.
Much like a Libertarian.
I understand the UK doesn't have the exact same political spectrum as the U.S., but he's surely aware of what Libertarians are, and how closely he aligns with them. It seems like trying to spice that up for the British -as opposed to stubbornly sticking with the "real liberal" and "classical liberal" shit- would just save time and frustration, even if his gimmick as of late is "saving true liberalism" or whatever the fuck he said in that video about the Liberalists.
his main reason for opposing immigration is because of its effect on the working class and not any of the reasons traditionalist right-wingers would give, like preserving the culture of the homeland or preserving demographics. he mostly just tries to pander to those people because he's too opposed to social justice causes to keep anyone else as his audience. he courts the right-wing, then, as you say, turns around and shits on them calling them far-right or nazis
Most Conservatives and U.S. Republicans don't have a problem courting Nazis, and when they're called on it they dismiss it and never acknowledge it again. Again, to me, it just seems like unneeded effort being put in that could be better spent making his actual political alignment come across as better. U.S. Libertarians have zero hesitation in telling you who they are and what they believe, Sargon strikes me as someone who thinks he has to cleverly disguise what he thinks to try and sway undecideds and in turn it looks less convincing.
