NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

Any site that has a anti-adblock culture are consumerist whores by definition. There's something to be said about a community that likes to talk about late stage capitalism but at the same time will ban anyone for implied intellectual property violations.

They're not really communists in any meaningful context, they're just neoliberals. Hence why they're obssesed with diversity in consumer products.

Makes you wonder how much people are paying to remove ads.

Lmfao, $39.99 a year to remove ads vs using an Adblock. Who are these idiots willingly supporting some tranny’s safe space? I want to scam them too.

Edit: all this money is going to “Sweet Nicole’s” dick mutilating surgery and who knows what other degeneracy.

Edit: feel free to suggest VIPs
I suggest we all do this via PMs, my admittedly meager reading into the Bore/NeoGAF indicates that ERA has people watching detractor threads like this (apparently called "relocation experts" or something like that lmao).

If this is indeed true, then they will act very quickly, so we should preserve as much of our element of surprise as we can.

I need to figure out a way to cut these numbers down. It's going to take days for the bot to churn through archival. It's also just too much noise. I might exclude boards that aren't off-topic, or maybe two tiers of VIPs where some only get recorded while posting on off-topic.

I also want to try to generate average ban length stats, and what time of day/week you're statistically most likely to get banned.

Suggestions welcome.

How about having the bot categorize bans and report stats on what the most common reasons are? They have a pretty short list of favorite stock excuses, so it wouldn't be hard to just pattern-match them. Off the top of my head: "trans", "derail", "junior", "whataboutism", "troll", "downplaying", "talking about games". If you want you could actually tabulate the frequency of words in bans to find candidates, but it might be overkill.

You missed out "victim blaming". That's a favorite of their demented mods.

I checked the thread they have about Jessica Price + some pajama boy (I forget his name) getting fired and it was fairly reasonable other than a few. Most of them realized that you can't pull that kind of shit when you're the public face of a company (and noted that she was a cunt for her TB comments as well).

So naturally the mods locked the thread.

Who the fuck even is Jessica Price? All these no name people are hilarious.
Jessica Price is a former Paizo employee and now-former Guildwars 2 writer that Jake Alley feverishly and hopelessly orbits in the hopes that she can help him land a gaming-related job.

She is a huge SJW and probably the biggest and most dis-likeable harpy we've covered on here, no thread yet, though I believe she deserves one at this point.

More specifically, Price was talking about writing for MMOs compared to single player games. Someone offered feedback and she snapped at him, which lead to a giant back and forth until the Guild Wars 2 team gave her and some other guy the boot.

She used to be a "project manager" for Paizo which mainly consisted of utterly fucking up Pathfinder and turning it into complete cancer. She is part of why everything has been shit since 2012 or so. She got fired (I think) last year for who knows what, probably being an utter cunt as usual. In any event, her name ceased to be associated with the project and an ad for a replacement appeared with no explanation.

Does ResetEra have a system where they say which mod delivered a ban? If not, you could look at which mods are online when a ban is given and attribute it to one of them. The point I'm getting at is seeing which mods are the most ban-happy.

That reaction was completely bewildering, the dude was unironically being super nice and respectful to her (His 1st words were "interesting thread.."), I guess being a snarling bitch makes one see others as such, projection and all that..

I love how Jake is orbiting her for a job when she can't keep her own, also, thread when? I think we're seeing the very definition of a careercow here.
