Notice how he always has a super specific sounding excuse. This is just like when another reviewer I'm in touch with was able to prove that all his Catherine footage was from the fucking demo and when his bullshit excuses didn't work, he just proceeded to REEEEEE at him and call him a dirty weeb who likes FF Advent Children

This seems to be a big meme in right-wing internet circles now to say that McCarthy did nothing wrong (or, if he did something wrong, it was just in blacklisting suspected commies and fags instead of having them all executed) and ignoring the fact that McCarthy started seeing Commies everywhere and tried to use the HUAC as a political bludgeon to force people to agree with him. Razorfist is probably just jumping on to keep his right-wing cred high.

I just love that Razorfist is being outed as a fraud, it's glorious. I used to be a fan of the guy, and still do enjoy a few of his videos (If only because some train wrecks are so huge that you can't look away), but he really does have a bad case of the Contrarian.

The only one I'd say he fell in line with mainstream opinion was RE6, even though the game was actually good. Mind you, the story was shit and the action was hilariously over the top at times, but if you came to Resident Evil for a serious, non campy story? You came to the wrong place. The game was pretty damn fun though, if only from a purely gameplay perspective (Network issues on the first week aside, that is.).


Anyway, as for Razorfist? Well, as I said earlier in the thread, the best point he ever made in terms of games was how MGS's stealth was garbage (It is, but the games are a lot of fun regardless. Isn't that what we play games for? To have fun? Or did something change when I wasn't looking.) Especially when compared to the old Hitman and Thief games. He also brought up great points about Deus Ex, and how Invisible War was too harshly panned (It did have it's issues of course, but it was still a really great game. The same could be said of the original Deus Ex as well).

Problem is, all of these opinions are tied to an obnoxious, shrieking trumptard from Arizona. One who not only screeches even harder when you call him out, but does the exact thing he accuses people of the opposing political party of doing (Strawmanning and De-platforming, mainly, along with heavy doses of Ad Hominem.). I guess Hypocrite can be added to the list of aliases this guy goes by.

I remember when he said on an older HateBitPodcast it's okay for Donte to be an emo punk because Bayonetta and the classic Sons of Sparda are also emo punks. In retrospective, that should've been a sign to teen me that he probably doesn't play most of the games he talks about. How? Bayonetta is one of the most cheerful characters I've ever seen in an action game, and Classic Dante had a big goofy smile on his face and a quip at the ready in every other cutscene (excluding 2 of course). They were as far from "emo" as possible.

Also, something sprung to my mind the other day. SomecallmeJohnny is currently reviewing the Mega Man X series, and he's posted a review of Mega Man X2 and 3. One of Razorfist's first videos was about Mega Man X3, which he claims was the best one on the SNES. To give you an idea of how contrarian it is, Razor praised the shit out of the SNES version's music, a soundtrack widely reviled by most fans. Johnny meanwhile says it's a low point in the series and even starts out criticizing its soundtrack.

It's not really fair to compare Razor to Johnny given how much better Johnny is at reviewing games, plus this is one of Razor's earliest videos, but I think it's worth examining what Razor says compared to Johnny. It's almost night and day.

If there's something funny about RazörCuck, is that he complains about the media, or others in general for focusing too much on politics and not talking about the subject in question... While still doing the exact same thing. Watch his Kingdom Come: Deliverance or Steve Ditko videos. In both of them he rails away fagging about how no one talks about the actual game or Ditko's contributions to comic books, while barely speaking himself about these subjects. He's just as guilty, only on the other side of the argument, actually I have seen better reviews of Kingdom Come, come (Heh) from more left-leaning sources who actually explain what the fuck Is going on with the game, while RazörCuck gives, what; two minutes of discussion to the mecanics while bladdering about how unfair Kotaku or Polygon are doing the exact same thing for the remaining 10?
