LA makes the movies Bob watches as his substitute for actually living a real life.

Or that if the USA broke up Mexico is going to somehow retain cohesion enough to take over Texas rather than the other way around. (Also LoL at KY and TN being in EU. Bitch they would join either country to the west in a heartbeat.)The biggest problem with all that post-scarcity hubbub is that land is a finite resource. And if you believe that dramatic sea level rise is just around the corner than its scarcity is about to increase big time.
Also that Russian professors prediction is one of the dumbest things he has posted in some time. The Midwest, which has a greater population than Canada and more than double the GDP, will somehow come under Canadas influence....
are you saying that star trek is just sci fi and not real?! A thing that normal folks would understand when they turn 20? I am truly shocked! The only reason post-scarcity works in Star Trek is because of the replicators in the series. That's the entire reason why the premise of Star Trek flows as smoothly as it does. When you can just configure at will any resource you want, suddenly consumption of resources doesn't seem like a huge deal.
But here's the thing: we don't have replicators in the real world, and we likely never will.

The "progressive" with sarcastic quotes case against the Electoral College is just idiots like Bob and others (who aren't corpulent, basement-dwelling goons but "pundits" and "activists") get this mad that a majority can't just push through all their policies and think that it’s some perversion of our governmental design, not a fundamental idea that was intentionally built in to it. "Waaah waaah waaah, the whole country cannot be steered by six coastal hive-cities, it's so unfair!"
Yeah, but I think that's a fairly obvious paradox. "Post-scarcity" isn't that precise of a term, because at some point, you'll find that a population of above, say, 3o billion, can't be sustained because of a limited supply of replicators. I assume the supposition by that point is that we'll have access to asteroids we can mine for said replicator resources. IMO, it's hard not to see the subject coming up if serious development of replicators were to start. Also wouldn't that mean that replicators would be finite as well meaning that scarcity for the replicators would have to exist as well.
I wonder if the Electoral College was reworked to have proportionate representation of the states, how it would affect him. How he'd need to look at Democrat-held states and notice how about ~40% of California doesn't even vote Democrat. That's what makes Bob worthy of a thread. We could easily STFU about his political opinions or educate himself to not be an ignorant prick. Many here consider his reviews passable (not my case).I hate to use this argument, but why Is GamerGate a thing in the CURRENT YEAR. I am sure people would have move on by now, but no, every six fucking months, with clockworth precision It comes back to smack me right on my Lithuanian-Paraguayan face to bore the shit out of me. I had never, fucking ever seen people this much manufactured outrage until those dark days in 2015, at no point did It seem like there was any legitemate concern over the subject from either side. Hey, asshole, IGN lies to you, Gaming Press was never unbiased, It was always shit, one of It's first publications was called "Nintendo Power" I doubt It had much of an objective perspective. I mean, sure the reviewers got paid to lie, but that has always been a joke with movie and game reviews. There was a TV Show, The Critic, all about that, even then there were always independent reviewers like Yahtzee and Totalbiscuit (Or whoever you personally like, that's not the point I am triying to make) Not to bash too much just one side, but the other is just the typical Feminist lolcascade, to which I can't add anything more, execpt confirm that yes, It's fucking exceptional. Look, there's always going to be someone, left or right, who will try to undermind freedom of expression, radicalism is just an aspect to any ideology, one which you must try to distance yourself as much as possible, and push forward as those extremes start to fade, even If there are short resurgences. Also, Bob sucks. Sorry for the rant I love you all.
Current democracies make that. Voters rationalize their votes, usually not voting for their favorite candidate/party but rather against those they don't like. As you say Trump could win the popular vote if it wasn't for other right wing options and Hillary would look even worse if all the left wasn't forced to bend the knee to her.One of the silly assumptions types like bob make is that if only the popular vote mattered then elections would play out exactly as they do with the electoral college. I have voted 3rd party in every presidential election because I live in a state that 100% votes democrat for president, but I wouldnt do that if my vote actually mattered. I have a feeling that there are a lot of other voters do the same or even abstain outright because their state is a forgone conclusion.
3rd party candidates had nearly 7mil votes in 2016. Assuming all Stein voters went Hillary instead and Johnson, McMullin and Castle voters went Trump, then Trump would've won the popular vote.

Gotta love how even when I agree with this arse he always finds a way to make it sound smug and cuntish. This is what Bob actually believes.
