Some of these are fucking amazing. People claiming Fries didn't deserve firing are being banned for "misogynistic double standard." People who sum up the event accurately are being banned for victim blaming, downplaying the influence and impact of harassment campaigns (read: going against muh narrative), or "downplaying institutional sexism."

Even by the shattering censorship standards of ResetERA, this is fucking ludicrous.

...What? But they are, some posters even proved it. That's easily one of the most astoundingly idiotic ban reasons I've read. It's a completely arbitrary reason to remove privileges from somebody who is engaging in completely legitimate, non-aggressive discourse. Forget them punishing heresy like a medieval priest. They punish heresy like they're from Warhammer.

There's some other winners in this list of bans, though. Like "dehumanizing women," when the guy was criticizing the lady for actions there is irrefutable evidence she comitted. Even if you believe that's "dehumanizing," it's not "women," it's "woman." As in, a singular person--and for good reason since they're a scumbag. What's amusing is how of course people who disagree with the moderator's viewpoint are insta-banned, but even being neutral doesn't keep you safe. People who make it vague whether they support one side of the issue versus the other get a warning and a finger-waggle for "trivializing serious debate." The audacity that they have the nerve to call it "debate" notwithstanding.

People are getting banned for acting anything other than morally outraged that a woman was dismissed for acting like a cretin online. I'm honestly reminded of when North Korea had "mandatory sadness" for when Kim Jong-il died, where you'd be sent to a gulag for not looking despaired enough over the great leader's death.

It's policies like "don't advocate violence" that make ResetEra politically centrist in the eyes of their vanguards. It's not hard to imagine a time-line where someone from ResetEra commits a domestic terrorist attack.

Personally I love the guy at the end questioning why something was ban worthy and calling the mods corrupt without getting a mod note for that post, and then getting a ban for saying "fuck you" to someone.
