There was a moment where the ResetEra admins had to make the hard policy decision that it's not okay to advocate violence on their forum, users acted shocked, exclaiming "what about hitler!?". It's policies like "don't advocate violence" that make ResetEra politically centrist in the eyes of their vanguards. It's not hard to imagine a time-line where someone from ResetEra commits a domestic terrorist attack.

I'm sure that no matter how much Reset Era screeches about the game or how much Soret's views becomes extreme, some Let's player with millions of subs will rectify any non-existant loss of revenue that is caused by Reset Era's boycott.

Two woke games that were pushed by the forum and the losers at Waypoint; 'Sunset" and 'Where the water taste like wine' have 11,937 and 9,061 Steam sales respectively. As far as I'm aware his game got fairly good hype when shown at E3 and would hopefully smash those numbers based on the graphics alone

This made it clear that the letters were simply form letters with blank spaces for the name of any woman that the mob wanted to attack.
A deeper look at the names and emails associated with the letters went to Facebook bot profiles and people whose profiles indicated associations with Gamergate or 4chan.
“This is 100% a response to the ArenaNet thing,” the developer said. “Last Saturday there was a post on 4chan in the game’s general discussion thread that said something like ‘Reddit proved we can get bitches fired, isn’t there a female that posts here? Let’s get her fired, it’ll be awesome, we have the power to do it.’”

...So I cracked this one open. You know, for science. I thought to myself: "I wonder if ResetERA actually linked to an article on this one?" and lo and behold, it did. It linked to an article by Nathan Grayson no less, the same one white knighting the shit out of Jessica Price. It also features an appearance by Jennifer Scheurle, a degenerate who we've also covered extensively on this site.
So we're fucking less than a page in and we're already deep in idiot territory.
But it gets better.
I couldn't find any sources in Grayson's article on who even might have suggested this, so I decided to do the horrible logical thing and go looking for what in the fuck Grayson might have been talking about on his shitter account. Appropriately enough, not only did he not source a fucking thing, but he has perennial Anti-Gamergate hanger-on and accused sex offender Matt Myers in his mentions playing White Knight, as well as countless other Anti-GGers active in his mentions, so you better fucking believe that this reeks of the usual suspects.
I had this feeling that someone had to have sourced this thing instead of Grayson writing it from whole cloth, and while I won't say I was right, I will say that he may as well have. He basically cited an unsourced anecdote told by another game dev, who was, in turn, citing another unsourced anecdote. He literally is that unoriginal.
