Oh! Yes, those two were/are the strongest bro-duo the convention scene has ever had. They'd do a joint show at most cons, pal around outside of the events, get legendarily smashed together, you name it. They both are in the same 'field of work' of furry raconteur, both have the same lust for ethanol, and the same love of going on con vacations on other people's dimes, they got on famously. I don't know about yiff buddies, but nothing shocks me at this point.

I am puzzled about this idea that Confurence and/or FC was seen by the Kage gang as somehow more decadent than AC. AC booted Bad Dragon but I still hear tell they have an adult art show, plenty of porn to be had in the dealers den and artists alley, and etc - I’ve also heard tales of cringe and embarrassment for all involved when AC staff gives their GOH the full tour including.... for some reason..... the adult art show.

The stories of the 90's Confurences are faded a bit but are impressive. It was a 20-years-earlier version of the crap that got Rainfurrest taken down - bondage gear, normie-squicking-activities in the halls, and suchlike. Kage saw himself as the antidote of Merlino's perversity. In turn, FC saw themselves as the antidote to cults of personality.

I'd always heard that 2 was Kage's cockwarmer at conventions and that was why Kage was so desperate to have him at every single con he attended, but I've no clue if that's something someone actually had any evidence for or if it was just mocking how they were sort of inseparable right up until Kage had to choose between his popularity with furries and 2, and proceeded to drop 2 like a twink that put on 200 pounds.

I would've thought it would be the on-stage 'chemistry' and off-stage mixology, myself. But I've got no idea, I'm much more into the complexity of the failure than these guys' private lives.

No problem. Though you need to understand what I mean, there's very little impropriety implied in what I said about the travel. GoHes don't pay for cons they go to, that's how it works. I'm not saying those two didn't lay out a dime for *everything* they went to, but plenty were willing (until recent times) to put up a plane ride, room and board for a Kage/2 stage show. Certainly Mr. Davis didn't have the dosh to do Eurofurence every year on his own money, even with dealer's room sales of his swag, DVDs, etc. I've heard other rumors about things like what you say, but I'm not in the rumor-spreading business.

Having said that , on the Kage abandonment issue, not-too-reputable word on the street is that Kage's still fond of him and it was a upper-level fight, so who knows.

(Also of note, the GoH thing was a huuuuuuge kerfluffle in brony circles for a while when Hasbro put the brakes on show talent doing convention junkets.)

So basically 2 is a huge mooch. Sounds about right.not unique to this fandom to be sure but somehow he’s more pathetic for being a furry one.

I’ve encountered both Kage and 2 and both give off a weird scary vibe. The shaved head doesn’t help 2’s overall creepy uncle vibe, and I swear Kage just leers at everyone with that Kubrick Stare, which doesn’t help him either.

SonicFox and Violent J's daughter are cool, I actually respect Chelsea Manning as a whistleblower, and as much shit as I give Deo, I think she's mostly harmless; she's just fucking obnoxious and self-aggrandizing as shit and her politics are misguided at best. And then there's other people on here who I don't even know who they are.
