There are some drugs that can potentially nullify your sense of appetite entirely, essentially making you artificially anorexic... but only as a less common side effect, usually only affecting less than 10% of the people who try the drug... and most of the drugs in that category are mood stabilizer types that can have pretty profound effects on your brain/cognition... not really the sort of thing you want to try and experiment with directly.

For the most part you just want to try and exercise more and eat less. Even if it's just walking more and even if you're just making little changes, like switching to drinking ice tea instead of soda, or eating fruit instead of sugary snack cake crap.

If AL went back on Wellbutrin AND phentermine, actually took her meds consistently, and gave the Wellbutrin time to get to a therapeutic level in her system before dismissing it as not working, she'd forget to eat. Or get serotonin syndrome. Or maybe both.

I doubt she went to a psychiatrist for the Lexapro, as weight gain is way more common on it than weight loss. Any psychiatrist (MD or NP) worth their salt knows the side effects of their most commonly prescribed drugs, or at least has the knowledge to look them up and seek alternatives when contraindicated.

There are some really great practitioners out there who will bend over backwards for you if you're willing to do the work to help yourself.

Hamber sure has shown she isn't.

Essentially fat people are claiming they take anti-depressants not because they're depressed, but because they think it might help them lose weight, that minuscule 10% off chance... so then being fat is used as an excuse to take whatever drugs they want. Like eventually it'll be, "Oh I need to take narcotics because there's a 1% chance it'll help me lose weight.

I hope she gets on alli.
Its nowhere as dangerous as the hunger surpressing stuff like adderall or any other amphetamin/methamphetamin based meds.
But the side effects involve

If you take alli, and eat fat food, you will have liquid oil - poo. I dont know the medical process, but if you read comments on it on the internet, many people spoil there underwear.
You think you just farted? No, you just pooped out the fat your fries were fried in, in liquid form! Amber probably has so much ass that she simply does not feel it until it runs down her legs.
Uh oh, Ricky and Eric better start locking their bathroom or Amber's gonna be using their shower again. :story:

Phentermine was like 200 pounds ago though, it would be risky for her to take it now at 550 elbees, especially in conjunction with wellbutrin because that one raises blood pressure significantly in many people. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal in a healthy-sized person, but our gorl? I'd be nervous.

She's too stubborn when it comes to drugs anyway. I almost feel she has a better chance on one of those medically supervised liquid starvation diets. But of course her best chance is therapy. Which she will never do. It seems like she'll never do anything but keep eating.

I hope Amber is honest with her doctor and that her doctor in turn corrects Amber's stupid "starvation mode" and "six small meals a day" and other silly notions she has absorbed over the years.

With the amount of fatty food she eats, Amber would be a fountain of oil. Actually I think she could really benefit from that drug. If she is carefull enough.

Many antidepressants make you gain weight (it stimulates the part of your brain that makes you feel hungry). What you might mean is drugs like ritalin/adderall that are methamphetamines. These are surpressing you appetite extremely.

Does anyone know if Amber takes methampethamin, will she be even more manic?

If Al went on a drug that made her even more ditzy and forgetful that could be entertaining. Imagine her forgetting even more lies?

I laughed out loud when she turned the camera and showed that massive amount of fireworks. What the fuck?? Any excuse to feed her shopping addiction. And then she doesn't even show them lighting the fireworks???

If she accidentally set one off at that table, she wouldn't have been able to waddle away in time to save herself from the massive explosion that would ensue

Alli prevents absorption of some dietary fat. Not all of it, but a decent amount. I think it is like 20-30% percent. Say this dainty lass eats a serving of Panda Express orange chicken containing 23g of fat and two chicken egg rolls for another 20g of fat. And then she eats a pack of Reese's Big Cup candy bars for for 72g of fat as her well-earned dessert. That is 115g of fat that she has eaten. Taking Alli means that about 34g of that fat ends up right out her disgusting impossible-to-clean rear. It is 300kcal passing right through her, which could help lose weight. But it is also 10% of more of stool as fat. So lose weight, but also loose stool.

My question is why are they putting her on fucking legal speed when they didn't even give her an electrocardiogram at the very least ?
They aren't? We are speculating on what kinds of drugs COULD be prescribed by the doctor. I, for one, doubt she's get the magic pill she hopes for. I highly suspect she'll be prescribed a lot of things to stabilize all the health problems she caused to herself, like high blood pressure and cholesterol.
Buuuut she might be taking advantage of a sliding scale clinic because she's a piece of shit who doesn't report her income. In that case it would be affordable or possibly free.
I have my doubts about that. When Amber decides she wants something, she wants it NOW. Monticello and the surrounding area is very impoverished and I suspect such clinics would have a long waiting line.
IF, big and fat as Amber if, she goes through with all the tests she needs she'll probably pay out of pocket. Which is actually a good thing as it will eat through her YT money leaving little to not extra to pay for restaurants.

Amber doesn't eat because she's hungry. Eating is her one and true hobby. It's her passion. A couple of pages back @xenomorph posted a video to illustrate that.

:optimistic: See above.

She didn't. IIRC, Amber said that Wellbutrin was making her bitchy (as if a drug was necessary for that), contacted her doctor, which as far as we know is a GP, who prescribed her Lexapro instead.

AL, like most super-obese people, has disordered eating which means she doesn't associate food with hunger alone, but also fun and happiness. In weight-loss classes they try to teach people other methods to satisfy whatever craving food fills. For example if you want to treat yourself, don't get food, go to the spa. If you're bored, go to a gym instead of a restaurant.

AL needs more psychological care than pills alone. I wonder if the doctor also prescribed therapy and/or classes and she's just noy going?

I wonder if the doctor also prescribed therapy

Just to make this clear, because it seems some people think Amber went to the doctor again/has been seeing a doctor. (Not calling you out in particular)

Amber went to the doctor in March. The reasons, according to Amber, were that Eric said she was jaundiced and because she "kept on getting sick". Amber was physically present before the doctor ONCE.
I suspect Amber told the doctor that she was getting sick a lot and also that she was depressed.
We know she fed the doctor the "I'm depressed" shtick because she showed the form on camera. The doctor did recommend therapy.

Now, the reason I've been "defending" the doctor ever since is that Amber very likely went into the office with a very specific complaint - keep on getting sick. Many of the procedures a doctor would be able to perform in the office don't apply to Amber (things like checking lymph nodes, for example), so the doctor collected a simple blood sample to get a white blood cell count.
Amber's video saying her blood test came back normal only means her white blood cell count was normal. I.e. no bacterial or viral infection.

Later this year Amber made a video to justify not having gone to a therapist yet. She said that the doctor (GP, whom she only saw once) hadn't contacted her yet to tell Amber when the appointment with the therapist would take place.

If she doesn't do something soon she's not likely to live past the age of 50 (if that)...
