John claims that an accredited university, in the late 1990's, only offered a programming language from the 1960's? Something like FORTRAN or COBOL? He's trying to claim that they didn't offer: C, QBasic, Visual Basic, or Visual C?

He's full of fucking shit. :powerlevel: I went to a podunk backwoods Community College to ease my transistion from mil to civ, and they offered Novell Networks, Win Workgroups, FORTRAN, COBOL, C+, Visual Basic, and I think, I can't exactly remember, Java. We also tinkered with VRML, TCIP stuff, and all kinds of interesting stuff. :powerlevel:

What John is saying in that tweet -- while being too stupid to realize it -- is that in 1997, the Department of Computer Science at Ole Miss offered one programming class and the language taught in that class was released in 1963.

CPL was the only major language released in '63. The idea that it was the only language taught at Ole Miss in '97 is a NyQuil-induced delusion.

John says the only language taught at his high school was released in 1972.
That language would be C, which John will be stunned to learn is still taught and used today.

John's tweet is, as usual, a load of complete and utter bullshit that reveals his profound ignorance of the lifespans of major programming languages.

Her face is crooked, it looks like there are two worms behind her skin that start at the nose and then wrap around themselves when they get to the chin. Those legs are something fucking horrible. The belt of fail is coming out of her i-watch and for some reason she looks like she's resting her hands on an invisible table. Her hair has never been red ( it had a red stripe at one point, but not solid amber AFAIK) so I assume that's some lights or something. For some reason she's not wearing her hooker boots and instead is wearing some sort of "business" flat...
The hooker boots are pretty awful and non-professional, but at least they cover up those melted radioactive pylons she calls legs. You can tell she photoshopped the hell out of her legs too, they are super sliced at the bottom... but even so there's still nasty veins popping out of her feet and I don't even know how to explain what is going on with her knees... but my empathy tells me they are sad and want to be put out of their misery.

We all know how much Wu photoshops the hell out of her pictures, so I can only imagine the original was 30 times worse.

We know time and time again that Brianna gets suckered into paying like 20 times the normal rate for some "special edition" service that provides nothing additional other than to service / sucker Brianna at all. When they do professional photo shoots, they usually shoot like 100 pictures and then keep the best one. With John, they probably need 10,000 just to come out with something that wouldn't be rated R.

It's shocking how horrific John is as Brianna. An ugly woman would work really hard with makeup, hair styling, manicures / pedicures, clothing, oils and lotions... there's all kinds of products out there that can turn a 3 into an 8 during the day time. I mean hell, look up pictures of Katy Perry without makeup and with. You can perform miracles. But John is so much of a man he doesn't care about this at all. Anyone who calls him ugly or tries to suggest that maybe he fix this or try that product or whatever is called an evil alt-right gamergubber and shunned out of John's ever-shrinking circle. "There's no improving upon that which is already perfect" kind of narcissistic mindset.

John is supposed to be some kind of tech activist but does a huge disservice to people interested in CS by shitting on CS programs. John is so ignorant he thinks CS classes teach a language instead of teaching concepts. If you understand the fundamentals you can program/learn any language.

It would be like saying journalism programs only teach you how to use a typewriter. A lot of high level CS classes are done purely in pseudo-code and don't involve any programming at all. John would know that if he wasn't such a daft cunt. I bet he couldn't even pass a Fizz-Buzz test.

Yeah, but you're thinking about it from your own perspective, like (as horrific as it is, and I apologize profusely) if your brain was in John's body. You'd maybe be embarrassed at the mistakes we point out, but fix them. Figure if not just one or two but EVERY person on here brings up the same issues about fashion, then there's probably an issue with your fashion.

But that's not how it goes. Remember when Warren first came to the farms? The facts didn't matter. Those were just lies by alt-right 13 year old troll edgelords. He glazed over those, already haven written them off until he got to the parts that interested him: Stephen Lynch's name, Stee, Pony Trouble, etc. etc.

It just keeps getting worse and worse too. Who else saw her in that parade? She was romping about with the most unnatural gait, she was just flailing about and running up to people with a huge smile, frank screaming in the background, mumble a bunch of shit to them really fast and the person sitting down would take whatever she was handing out so she would leave quicker. In reality, that person sitting there was worried John might knife her in the face. In John's head, he just met a new sure-fire voter in the upcoming primary.

Wu is full of shit, Universities were doing just fine teaching C and Java at the time John would have been a student. I assume John is talking about C (created in 1972) which was and is still used because it's fantastic. John is probably too dumb to understand pointers. At least John knows how to use Wikipedia.

She struggles to keep her lies straight. Here she is talking about being taught Turbo Pascal which came out in the 80's, not 1972. And teaching that in high school in the 90's was way ahead of most high schools who likely didn't even offer programming courses. Poor schools didn't have computer labs back then.

I know she's LARPing but what exactly did she think was being taught in CS classes in the 90's? Pascal was still being used in a lot of places (I don't think Apple even moved away from it till the early 90's). COBOL was used by every government agency and most companies which means it guaranteed you a job out of college. C++ was still kind of new and while it became common in the mid-to-late 90's, these schools couldn't predict the future in a volatile industry.

Two other things that really bother me:

1) She has repeatedly used the excuse that she had to drop out of college to learn OOP. That's bullshit. Turbo Pascal (which she supposedly was taught in high school) had implemented it in the late 80's. Delphi completed that transformation while she was still in college.

2) She claims it's "elitist" to say someone needs a CS degree to be a programmer. What's elitist is thinking the only programmers in the world are making video games and mobile apps. A huge chunk of your software engineers are working on old shit. The financial industry is almost exclusively on COBOL. Most of your government agencies still run on it too. The fact that she thinks you have to be an expert with Elixir or whatever is trendy to be considered a "software engineer" shows such a lack of understanding of that profession.
