>communist
>bases entire identity on corporate advertising material
nobody ever accused these people of self-awareness
I was gonna do a long post about this when the chance arose but you compressed my thoughts down into two greentexts. Thank you, though I am still gonna do a longpost about it anyway.
It's both funny and also more than a little uncomfortable to see the lefts reference material go from the likes of Chomsky and Marx...
to Chewie and Myrtle. It also takes a lot of cognitive dissonance to claim to be communist, a system which would exclude the existence of private companies and everything related to them,
but then base your entirely livelyhood pickling your brain on the mass consumption of advertising.
This is especially true in the case of Peet, where this supposedly "nuanced" look in politics is built up on nothing more than Moviebob, short Hbomberguy videos, and the aforementioned advertising media (SW/HP/MLP/etc); he sees the world in "what would Anakin do?"-ism,
endorsed fucking mcdonalds over the time they got hacked and tweeted "drumpf sucks", and plainly refuses to step outside that bubble.
This is especially apparent with the likes of Shaun and Contrapoints, two channels that are generally considered to be fantastic and informative by the leftysphere recently... and Jerry has refused to engage in any of their content for criticizing movieslob and interacting with Blaire White in an
ACTUALLY nuanced way one time respectively.
Now I come from a school of thought where your political beliefs will always change as you age and though you might be a lefty for the longest time you'll still have your ideas challenged by lefties and vice versa and thats normal and healthy, but clearly I was severely wrong because it turns out what you're actually meant to do is change your affiliation only once to the "good side" and to make sure you engage exclusively in the most single most embarrassing spokesperson you can possibly find who will happily supply you with your recommended dose of kekistan memes or harry potter analogies. Make sure either one is also coupled with autistic after effects battles too.
I get that you can't be entirely 100% communist or even entirely ethical with your purchases (hell, we all have at least one product made in a foxconn factory), but it doesn't take a genius to realise that to be this stubborn about your world view whilst trying to form a symbiotic attachment to brands that sees you, an adult male, as nothing more than a large pool of revenue is super unhealthy.
Especially in Canada. Don't they have the kind of universal healthcare there, that allows even poor people to go to the hospital?
In other news, Lily's patreon count is down 171.
Patreon counts before the 1st of each month don't mean much. Thats when all the payments either process or fail and the final amount gets adjusted accordingly.
