Phil cancelled his second stream. Probably because people found out about Kat's past.
I had a feeling that might've been the case so edited my post. Apologies everyone for jumping to conclusions.Nah, he already planned on not having the 2nd stream (check the schedule pics from a day or two ago).
So now there's a solid possibility that Kat isn't quite the dullard people thought, but is instead a true gold digger who used some other dude to get a car and then moved on to Phil to have a rent free roof over her head and maybe get a cut of his internet "job" money? Who let Mr. Shyamalan near this season's script?
Can I also point out how tragically hilarious it is that he spurned and chased away the one woman who actually liked him but people thought was a gold digger only to replace her with a woman that doesn't care for him at all but actually is a gold digger?
With 280 characters on Twitter now, he can do the schedule in a normal tweet without the WordPad detour. If he want's people to know his stream easily why the fuck can't he use that one extension that you can embet your start times to your page or just manually do out his weekly schedule on his twitch page so that people don't have to go to his twitter to see that shitty fucking screenshot, if hes manually typing it out anyways why can't he just copy paste it into a section on his twitch page that reads schedule for the week or something like that?
So it would appear. We know Kat reads "detractor" comments... She's seen so much and still agreed to come on cam three times, but being definitively exposed is different. The August IRL stream will be solo despite the hype and fun associated with the previous two, and Dave will tuck his head in and barge through all the questions and criticism like usual. There won't be a next time.
I don’t think he knew she was dating someone at the time. I think he’s a big enough idiot to believe the lease story. She probably used the idea of possibly renewing her lease as penne to lure Phil into begging even harder.
I don't know if it's different in Europe or wherever you're at, but a "condo" is a little bit different from an "apartment". Phil owns his actual unit, but there are shared spaces (parking lots, maybe a pool or club house) owned by the Condo Association, to which Phil pays dues monthly (these can be high for gated communities with a lot of landscaping or 'shared' buildings, but I think the CT Condo is just a parking lot to get plowed and someone to come mow the lawn once a week). Phil may also be on the hook for levies like repaving, repairing hallways/elevators/roofing, etc.
Since Phil is the landlord, and since his mortgage (which he's surely paying the bare minimum on) has more debt on it than the actual value of the condo unit, he's actually in a rough spot. Not that I have any sympathy for him. But he can't just abandon it since the mortgage holder can sue for the difference, and he can't do a short sale or a sale below mortgage value because the remaining balance of the mortgage (probably 25-30k still) becomes due immediately.
You know what's not underwater? His Renton mortgage. In fact, he could probably sell that and easily cover his moving expenses, most pressing Credit Card debt, and the Q1 and Q2 Federal taxes that a lot of us have assumed he's been ignoring. Going from 100k to 60k in income gets a lot more palatable when you go from 100k to 60k in expenses, fatty.
It'll be interesting to see how things play out.
oh he will bring it up, but he will throw kat under the bus. he will say she used him and he discovered the situation with her ex and she lied and manipulated his big heart.Like so much else with Phil we'll likely never find out what the real story about Kat is. While I agree that it is more likely than not that Phil knows about her past I don't think he'd ever reveal it or his knowledge of it unless they had some kind of super bad breakup. Even then maybe not since he'd be admitting to helping her cheat on someone else, though I suppose he could lie about knowing. There is potentially a super small chance Kat might spill the beans just to fuck over Phil if he pisses her off, but I think that's a bit. Kind of funny that we're basically back to way it was when Leanna likely cheated on Phil and him not able to do anything since she could destroy him.
I still to do this day never understood his mindset of moving to Washington
IIRC: according to Aireaidlord, Phil had a received a payout after a car accident. It was Fred's speculation that Phil's hasty retreat out of Connecticut had do with this settlement.

Probably praise, most of his immature fans will see it as dave asserting his macho alpha male status and bagging a super model level GFI'm curious what the reaction will be from his incel riddled chat at the knowledge Kat was cheating on her long-term boyfriend with Dave, and was probably still living with her boyfriend after he found out until like January 2018.
I still to do this day never understood his mindset of moving to Washington. His CT condo seemed like a chill place to live. I know he said it's cause him and Panda needed a bigger place but seriously? Come on bro, a condo can easily handle two people. He never needed a house that big. I know it was for his ego and to own a "home" and all that, but the condo was perfectly fine.

I feel like he'd be in such a better spot if he had just never left CT. All the highs and lows of Youtube, Twitch, whatever the fuck, he'd be fine if he just stayed in CT. He would've never had to beg either. Just pay the bills, save the rest. Hell, he could've probably bought a ton more shit and had dozens of vacations (instead of the rare staycation) and still been good on money and no one would've given a fuck. Worst case scenario borrow some $$$ from the parents and get an EZ P/t job.
Fuck it makes me a little salty just thinking about it. If he had just stayed in CT, took the Ls that came his way (like every other streamer/LPer, keep his mouth shut, and released his 20-30 no effort videos every day he'd be fine. He'd still have Machinima, he'd still have his loyal fans donating to him on Patreon, he'd have Twitch bits/cheers, and he'd have the DSParchive as sort of a retirement plan. He'd have way less stress as he wouldn't have an "army of detractors" stressing him out every day. He'd easily be fine on money, even with the frivolous spending because he wouldn't have two properties to worry about and the BMWs and shit. He could legit just stream games like 2 hours a day, upload the footage, and then be free to do whatever he wants. Watch movies all day or get drunk. Expand his horizons and get into doing podcasts, cross promote with other youtubers/twitch streamers or working on edited videos if he wanted to.
All he would've had to do was just drop the damn ego. If he just stayed where he was at, stayed in his own lane, he'd be fine. He didn't need the house. He didn't need to get into fights with his employers, fans/critics and the rest of the world. He doesn't need to be this "Underdog Innovator of Let's Plays/Best Gamer in the Country!" If he just dropped his ego, dropped his narrative, accepted that he had his 15 minutes, and what he's got going on is good enough he could've coasted the rest of his life. No drama. No crises. Nothing. He would've been more than fine.
