If Bob usually gets so drunk he passes out and comes to in hotel lobbies in Chinatown, I imagine if the blue wave turns red, Bob will get so drunk he will wake up in a hotel lobby in ACTUAL China, and that he is so simple it would take him an embarrassingly long time to realize where he really is.

While I don't think Bob's problem is directly linked to atheism qua atheism, it (especially in it's manifestations) is a very strong indicator of this sort of antipathy.

MovieBob has always struck me as a man whose ideas about the world had not changed one whit since High School, despite him being in his thirties. Most people go through some change in perspective throughout their lives, from wide-eyed idealism, to cynical person with worldly experience; from someone whose sense of self is undefined and fluid to someone who embraces an identity with a strongly defined role. Bob has undergone none of this, even after losing his father (which was a soul-searching, identity-challenging period of time when it happened to me.) Bob will still be the tantrumming child bleating about Mayonnaise Ghouls and sperging about Mario when he's 55 (if the Beetus lets him live that long.)

It should tell you something about how fucking stupid Bob is, he brings up the wall without seeming to realize it wouldn't even work because overland border crossings are a laughably small portion of illegal entries. Tunnels are used mostly for contraband, not immigrants, and that happens in urban areas that are already walled off. The proposed wall doesn't even go deep enough to stop tunneling. Most illegal entries happen at land or sea ports of entry.
