Dusty put out a video Mar 16, 2018 doxing a local black drug dealer who set him up to be mugged of 350 dollars and admits at the beginning of the video that he has "high functioning autism" and uses weed to treat it. He brags that his uncle is the mayor of his small Mississippi town of only 500 people. People in the comments are worried for his safety because the drug dealer knows his family and was originally going to meet Dusty at Dusty's grandmother's house.
He had a problem with getting banned from Facebook many times for a while. He mentioned it one of the times he was on the DP podcast. He posts a lot of neckbeard and controversial posts on his personal Facebook which has many posts set to public. He posted this on March 8th 2018 on Facebook:

I never really talked about this publicly because I didn’t want to play the victim, but I literally went into hiding for 2 years because of the death threats I received from my anti-Islam videos. I bought an RV & lived it in for 2 years, traveling from state to state to ensure my safety. Finally it blew over a bit so I settled down and bought a house. But that was the reason for my leaving Denver.
I felt like such a coward for hiding, but so many atheist bloggers were being murdered around the world and because of all the backlash I received I was afraid of being killed. Dusty sperged out on Twitter today non-stop about how he's going to confront Bunty King (a YouTuber who Dusty has been aggressively sperging about on Twitter for awhile now) face-to-face at an upcoming convention, that he "can't hide from him forever" and that he will "destroy him."
If I was anyone that Dusty fights with on Twitter (namely Bunty) I'd start contacting the authorities. Dusty's behavior is starting to become extremely aggressive, obsessive and outright stalker in tone. He's on the path to committing violence against someone who he has drama with.

I personally hate religion and I'm usually the last person to defend it, but good lord is this lunatic exceptional. I remember discovering him years ago when atheist youtube was still relevant, and I always found him to be by far the worst (moreso than TJ even). Reading a few of the worst Bible passages with no context and then essentially accusing everyone who follows it of being some kind of evil isn't a "critique." I also remember his "why would a woman be a Christian" video, which completely ignored all of the work Jesus did to advance women's rights and said that any woman who remains Christian is a dumbass. Almost all youtube atheists are pretty uninformed on theology and are ill-equipped for that type of critique, but this person is probably the worst just due to being the most vitriolic. I'll never understand what these people think that there is to be gained by just screaming at religious people about how awful they are, they're not going to convince anyone that way and it's not going to make them look smart.

Dusty and I used to be friendly acquaintances. We both lived in Mississippi it was the middle aughties and I just learned that I was atheist, and had been looking for people like him.
Dusty was pretty prolific in those days. He was staunchly anti-theistic, and that resonated with me because I was upset about my own seclusion. We were Facebook friends and I was also friends with his wife. Invited them to groups of local atheists until eventually he moved to Colorado. College came I was making a lot of diverse friend so I didn't really need Dusty or other internet atheists so much anymore. But I still thought a lot of him as a person who had helped me with my religious identity.
It was a few years ago that he started showing up in my Facebook feed for some reason, spouting quite hateful things about women. Dunno if it was related to his divorce or not.
I'm really nothing sure what happened to change him into the person in this topic. I do know it's not unique. Thunderf00t and Amazing Atheist went down the same rabbit hole. I think maybe they just needed to feel oppressed

To be fair I never understood why anyone who is black is also Christian, considering that. I mean obviously there are a number of blacks who consider Christianity the white man's religion but you know, it's not the prevailing opinion.

For whomever was wondering if it was staged rather then real, it was real. His adrenaline was spiked so high you could hear his voice trembling and his muscles were jumping up and down and he was almost incoherent in what he was screaming at that rando bible-thumper quietly holding up his (also stupid) sign. Someone who had rehearsed his rant for the camera wouldn't be nearly so keyed up and nervous. He just for whatever reason decided to go off on this guy that day, and it beyond backfired on his dumb ass.
To this guy, atheism is not just a concept of 'disbelief of all gods and religions' as much as it is a religion in and of itself, and he dosen't even see it and makes it a competition between theism and atheism. The average athiest just dosen't give a shit and goes on with his/her life, hoping to help make the world a little better of a place when he leaves it then it was when he came into it.

The sad part of that though is that some of those people convert to Islam of all things after ditching Christianity, believing that this is somehow getting in touch with their cultural roots. For this to make sense they must reject reality entirely, considering that the Islamic slave trade went on for much longer than the European Christian one and the terrible anti-black racism still present in most of the Middle East. It's even sadder because this information is easily available to anyone willing to do 3 minutes or research on google, meaning that they're either willfully ignorant on this or live in strong enough of an echo chamber to somehow miss it.
