What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

Humble disagreement time:
12 oz. Mouse is a stoner's overlooked gem. Growing Around is pure raw sewage that we should be thankful to whatever higher power we believe in doesn't exist as a real thing. Never forget that.

I'm not even joking when I say that 12 oz. Mouse is one of my favorite shows. And I have no idea why.

Everything from Hazbin Hotel.

It's everything wrong with Zoophobia, but made worse by how it might become pseudo-TV material. And keep in mind that Zoophobia was a Shit (poorly written, characterized, and executed.) web comic with designs and proportions all over the place, all for the wrong reasons, too.

Because the brainless slackers who barely put the effort into creating that no-effort cartoon were so lazy and yet managed not to get fired and get paid for it. You have to admire the gall to do something like that. It was Patreon before it even existed.

No one seems to have mentioned Life is Strange yet. The attempt at being hip, cool, relatable teens takes a huge nosedive for me with their speaking/use of slang words and phrases I have never heard a teenager say in real life (at least not where I am anyway). Plus the clothing and pairing of the two main characters just appeals to Tumblr a bit too much

They look really fucking bad. Especially considering that Sailor Moon (what it ripped off) came out three years before. How does your predecessor have better designs than something that came out 3 years later?

Edit: Forgot to mention this manga uses an abundance of those "uwu" soft highlights that take up half of the page. It's really annoying.

Sailor Moon came out in 1991. This came out in 1994

In comparison:

I used to watch that show when I was little and needed something to fill in the void while I waited patiently for Sailor Moon to air on the same day.

One thing that always bothered me was Momoko’s hair- the roundness of it was completely unappealing and her design was just an overall eyesore. The only design I liked out of the four girls was the blue one (I forget her name tho).

While I do enjoy Incredible Hulk and the Abomination’s characterization (though Whiplash will be probably my personal favorite MCU/CBM villain), but I really didn’t like how Abomination looked (though that fight, has to be one of the most creative fight sequences in a Super Hero movie, and really shows how badly they nerfed Hulk in later films).

While I do understand what they were going for, I really feel they could have gone a bit more Reptillain for this design, or maybe a darker green for his coloration.

Don't get me started on this turd, i don't anyone wants a rant but all i'll say is fuck that blue haired cunt

Shows made for the pre-school demographic routinely have awful character designs, you do eventually get used to it, but even then there's a few that take the cake.

(This one gets double-awful points for being about a kid who needs to piss constantly. My three-year-old loves it, and I'm a bit concerned.)

(To add to the annoyance of the garish design, Lola's voice is nails-on-chalkboard)

(Shimmer and Shine was at least bearable when it took place in the normal human world, then they moved to this technicolour nightmare genie world where everyone has dangerhair.)

Dirtgirlworld sounds like a website I don't want to look up.

I find Shimmer and Shine to be one of the better looking kids' shows and it's sad that genies with unnatural hair colors trigger you, but it doesn't belong here. I did find that the blonde girl and the blue haired genie girl ponytails looked like butts on the top though, makes me snicker when I see it every time.

Never seen that Nina Needs to Go one, but damn that dead-eyed thousand yard stare.

For more dead-eyed stare, you couldn't really beat The Weekenders. Stick bodies, huge oddly shaped heads, and little beady eyes way too far apart.

Also for a short time, there was Teamo Supremo, which seemed like Disney's halfassed attempt to rip off Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls. It was as awful as it was ugly.

And then there's WordWorld, which was just weird. The gimmick was that everything was made of words. Yeah.

What in the absolute fuck am I looking at?

What you see here is two immaculate mechanical claws, intricately etched with various lines to indicate an ornate and royal inspiration to the design. The layered metal pieces and the pillar like details here put within a more aged feel to the design of the claws. The colours used here are some light yellows and a hard black for shading. The light yellow used here helps describe the metal as being possibly made of gold or brass, which further support the ornate and royal feel to the design. The hard black shading is smudged but smooth, adding the metallic texture needed for the claws. Overall the artist that created this piece definitely proves to me that he is an outstanding professional in his craft.

oh and uh, a pair of j-cups moderately dressed with two leather straps.

Modern Japanese design in a nutshell.
