A commercial that has been burned into your memory

Geico - Sexy Grandpa Time:
They even had a link so you could download the grandpa song as a ringtome, along with a bunch of other Geico ad songs and such. And there actually is a full version of the grandpa song:

I'm not sure if I remember this specific commercial but here's a good example of a long-running series of commercials for a local Montreal vertical blind store called Au Bon Marché featuring owner David Shiller and his son Stephen and some later commercials also featured his other son Richard.

These commercials are probably best-remembered for the Shiller's pounding hand gestures. You'll see what I mean.

The French language ones were also known for their slogan "Oui Papa", often repeated by Stephen, although this particular one just has a group of kids saying it at the end. (I chose this one for audio quality as some of the other ones on Youtube have painful static.)

They also have very strong Anglophone accents when speaking French though so do I so I'm not criticizing them.

The store chain that was Au Bon Marché is still around, but it's now known as Le Marché du Store in Quebec and Blinds to Go in Ontario.

Speaking of Montreal, I reminded of this one for their Metro!

That one aired in 1976 if I remember correctly. I've seen it before but only in the Youtube era. I remember another Montreal Metro commercial from around the late 1980s that had a catchy jingle including a version in English. The first line went something like, "Greater Montreal, the Met will take you to it all." (Did any Montreal Anglophones ever actually call the Metro "The Met"?)

I can't find that song on Youtube, though. It might have just been a radio campaign.

A few months ago, this all of a sudden popped into my head and I haven’t seen this one in YEARS.

The one I remember seeing:

I think the uploader has the date wrong, that's gotta be late 1990s if they're doing off-brand Riverdance (plus commercials that aired nationwide in the United States were already being produced almost entirely in 16:9 by 2009).

Actually, the commercial started to re-air as an updated version in May 2009 according to this.

The original commercial is from 1999/2000.

I never seen this but i stumbled on it online years ago. Shit is addictive to sing along and the company is still around.

Living up in the Northern Virginia area when these ads started playing, I can say they've burned into my memory.

As a stand-up comedian whose name escapes me put it “if that stuff actually worked, you wouldn’t need to advertise it”.
Truth.

Same with all those infomercials where people have found some INCREDIBLE way of making money and for some reason want to "share it with the world". No businessman worth his salt wouldn't share their trade secrets for any price.
Certainly not for 4 easy payments of $49.95.
