And he's finally honest in saying he just doesn't care. If only he could go one step further and just... not talk about things he doesn't care about and doesn't want to learn about. Or make smug comics about them. Or shout into the twitter void for days on end about them. It's almost like he's so starved for constant attention that he'll get it in any context for any reason or something.

Re: Disabling comments on his front page--If his disabling comments on his art is any indication, if he were to somehow disable all comments across his entire DA profile he would still find a way to complain about the comments on twitter ad nauseam.

Then he'd complain about the comments about his work on sites he doesn't even visit.

The whole "comment blocking" thing seems remarkably familiar regarding a certain notable lolcow.

It goes to show that people like this aren't interested in making people think or interacting. They just wanna shout from their soapboxes while people listen and obey unquestioningly. Often a fine mark of the self-obsessed sjw types who want everything to conform to their warped worldviews.

I think one of the major differences is that many of the lolcows have obvious and legitimate mental issues such as autism while Tom Preston should know better.

Dobson perceives little things, such as calling him Dob, as bigger slights than they are because he is used to be told he is very talented and special and important.

So I have a question, if Dobson really hates DA as much as he says he does why doesn't he just go elsewhere. There are other websites and I mean, it's hard to stick around for the asspats if your expressed goal is to completely annihilate any comments in the first place--so why even bother with DA?

I think he likes being a big bear in a small forest, so to speak.

Previously Dobson has said he has no interest in growing as an artist in the traditional sense, like here he says "It take a lot of courage to admit to yourself that your art isn’t perfect. But if you keep at what you do, slowly and gradually you’ll grow and bloom into awesomeness. Even the biggest trees start as little saplings. You can’t force growth, you have to let it happen naturally." so basically he thinks he'll improve by not changing and doing whatever he has been doing.
