My guess about what they're thinking with the whole "racist font" thing:

"The font is made to mimic East Asian writing, and therefore is stereotypical, and all stereotypes of that sort are racist, therefore, it's a racist font."

Or:

"The font is made to mimic East Asian writing, and therefore is cultural appropriation, and therefore is racist."

Or:

"All of the above."

I want to know what it's like to live in a world where you have the time and energy to get angry over a somewhat stereotypical font in a grocery store. What is it like to have this as a battle? Not family shit, not bills, not illness, no, but RACIST FONTS are the burden you carry through this world.

My grocery store doesn't even have an Asian food section so I think someone needs to check their ability-to-make-delicious-recipes privilege. :(

The anon really could of Google "Japanese work etiquette". As for the tumblr, does thisisnotjapan not know how rude he/she/whatever pronoun preferred is coming off as? Just because English is a language spoken in many countries, it doesn't really contribute to imperialism unless there was some aim for a one world government (could be wrong but still). Even then, not everyone will stay in their home country, especially if they were to leave for other nations where they work for whatever reason (humanitarian, economic, relocating, etc.). I may as well ask: What do Japanese people think about TESOL? Do they think it's trying to replace their own language or something?

THOSE POOR NIPPONJIN ARE SUFFERING FROM INTERNALIZED RACISM. THEY SHOULD BE PROUD OF THE FACE THAT THEY SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF NIPPON, GLORIOUS HOMELAND OF YAOI AND POCKY.

All this has me curious about two things, though:

1. Can we really take these people at their word concerning their ethnicity? Whose to say they're a bunch of self-loathing white kids like many other SJWs?

2. Would anime conventions be like Auschwitz to these people?

Well, the Japanese are pretty good at being racist, actually. Lots of places you can't go if you're a round-eye in Japan.

Ok This angers up my blood a lot, People in Japan are learning English of their free will and KEEPING there language, with the vast history of forcible English education as a real tool of the extermination of languages which were seen as a unfit make this comparison is unspeakable dumb, and offensive at a time were Children have their language beat out of them is well with in living memory

Even if they met one of the people of the group they claim to be defending, I doubt they would go full SJW on them. For one, it's racist to say anything bad to a POC, and two, I doubt their confidence online would translate into the real world anyway. Three, I doubt the hypothetical Japanese person would know/care about what the crazy white person is talking about.
