Chris was placed into Therapeutic Docket program for mall trespass case

While I am glad the system recognizes that Chris is mentally ill, I think they don't quite understand how self sufficient he is and how it doesn't warrant coddling to the same level where a low functioning individual steals something. Chris, while ill, does understand right and wrong and has to ability to act accordingly to this; that's the important thing in law. Now, I understand the arguement, "But a Downie knows when they've done something wrong, put them in General Population right?" The Downie, while having moralistic sense of right and wrong, doesn't have the higher function to properly judge and weigh the consequences of actions undertaken. You could also say "So people who have no morals should be rewarded right? Lets coddle psychopaths and sociopaths?" Not at all, psychopaths and sociopaths are quite deserving of imprisonment in a psychiatric facility, and it would work out much better for society that way.

However, this is a progressive "Lol we care about the mentally handicapped" bullshit act; meaning that while it sounds nice, its application is extremely flawed and catering to people who it really doesn't need to, while at the same time spitting in the face of everyone involved.

I might as well move down to Virginia, commit a shit ton of white collar and minor crimes and then ramble on about the Lizard Jew People who control Lightbulbs and Steamroll Antarctica with their VW Buses that run on Flax Seed grown by Indian Monkey Clone Hybrids owned by John Podesta via The Clinton Foundation at the hearing and get this therapeutic mental health probation.

Move to Virginia! The Law doesn't apply to retards here!

These types of diversion programmes are intended for people who are relatively functional. Low functioning individuals tend to get diverted to residential/inpatient programmes.

Oh wow, Chris is going to have another graduation :story:
Think he'll break out the Honor Roll sash for this one too?

By the way...

@Marvin, didn't you say Chris was smoking pot with his brony admirers? This could get interesting.
They probably won't be testing him and I don't think he does it often enough that it's a problem. I was just amazed that he took a puff.

He never really took to drugs and booze like we thought he would. The toy high he gets is all he needs.

Does Chris go through withdrawal (and all the assmad tantrums that come with it) if he's deprived of his toys/toy money/toy opportunity? Like if he found he was somehow unable to budget for them, could only afford food, and begging magically stopped working forever?

An interesting implication here is that the choice was either this or jail time

Chris almost certainly would not have gone to jail. The program is only for misdemeanor offenses and so the only people who qualify, but are still in jail are either awaiting trial or have violated the terms of other court orders. Even if Chris fucks up some more there is a litany of sanctions that must be employed before actually sending him to jail. Even absent the tard docket I seriously doubt that a judge would have sentenced chris to jail time for trespassing.

The most probable outcome is that Chris will only be made to do the bare minimum requirements due to the court system's infamous time and budget constraints. He's smart enough to lie low enough that he won't be fucked with, and when all's said and done he will have learned only that the criminal justice system is credulous and soft.

Remember that good week or so when he was deprived of his PS3? Yeah that was withdrawal alright.

Chances are they consider his autism 'Severe mental illness', and he didn't need to bother revealing anything else, like what /actually/ makes him fucking nuts.

I'd assume that's it. If you can get a disabled parking pass for being autistic (and not profoundly autistic, just... Chris) I'm sure they can swing it into this as well.

Oh well. Most people would probably just had paid a fine, ate the misdemeanor conviction (in terms of a record) and been done with the whole thing quicker anyway.

This sounds like a program for people that aren't the criminal type by still needs guidance. Seems like the prizes are a good way of giving its members some kind of goal.

Given Chris brags about it, it seems to be doing what it's designed for rather than some bs weed clearing or other type of program. Whether or not he'll actually learn or just think when he gets in trouble he'll get free shit is up for question.

It also does sound like this is the last straw for Chris and his antics. Next time it will probably be harsher.
