Chris was placed into Therapeutic Docket program for mall trespass case

A rose, huh?

That is perhaps the most faggoty, pointless, hippie-dippie bullshit boondoggle I've ever heard. Might as well tacked on a complimentary bag of Famous Amos cookies and a mammogram.

Wait wait wait.

Wait.

I can't be fucked to go back & find the Virginia Circuit Court's JPEG of Asspattery but..

...you guys are all completely fucking around with this "he gets a rose if he makes all his re.tard doc appts & manages not to earn another business's banhammer to the face for 52 calendar weeks" shit..??

..right?

:roll::roll::roll:

Apparently, the rose is from another county with a similar program.

As for me ... I dunno. This is easy for me to say because I have no skin in the game and Chris never tried to kill me with a car, but there's something irrational in me that winces at the thought of throwing a guy into jail because he thought CWCville was going be be destroyed by moon lasers. I don't like the idea of jail, I agree that letting him get off scott free would be worse.

But if he stays out of trouble for a year, I'd pay for a fucking rose.

Here's the link to the participant handbook. Chris has a copy of this. A few choice bits:

--There is random drug testing.
--"Participants are required to dress appropriately for court and treatment sessions."
--"Racial or ethnic slurs and name-calling will not be tolerated."
--"Truth and honesty will help you in your journey to health and recovery."
--Movie tickets are one of the incentives for making progress through the program. There's also gift cards.
--"Graduation from the Therapeutic Docket Program is a very important event. You can invite family and/or other special people in your life to attend the ceremony and witness your success at establishing a healthy, productive, stable and law abiding life."

I am starting to think that chris is a genius and plays everyone just like Andy Kaufman and we all are just too stupid to realize it....Or i could just be paranoid

Chris comes from a long line of white trash. Autist or not his people have an impressive ability to manipulate the system honed after generations of wheeling and dealing.

You know what.. that is some solid reasoning, & I have now retracted my talons of exasperation on this one.

No, i think an acid or shrooms trip wouldn't be a bad idea for Chris. That way he will face uncomfortable feelings, experience ego death and dissolution of his stupid abstract system.

Dear GodBearJesus, no! He'd be like Ozymandias in Watchmen, tripping balls on a lump of pure hashish and ending up believing he's Alexander the Great.

Which, in fairness, could be a pleasingly humbling experience for him.

How is it that someone can commit a crime multiple times and get a gift card/movie tickets after a slap on the wrist? What ever happened to justice?

I mean, would throwing him in jail really be justice? This is a person that shit on the floor because someone threatened to blow up his comic book town with a moon laser.

Though I do agree that the docket doesn't give him as nearly as much help as he actually needs.

Well, isn't this the ultimate "Slap on the wrist", or what?
At first I thought so too. But after thinking about it and reading more, I think its the kick in the ass (even if its light) Chris might need.

In order to get though the 3 phases of the program Chris needs to show that he is financially stable, and pay off all court costs form the program. With the latest lawsuit against him for non-payment the court/program will either drop him or give him guidance/resources/help/force in some way for him to address this and his other issues with money.

Under the program Chris also needs to meet with mental health professionals under the program, even if he didn't have what ever the fuck is going on his head now and it was just his autism it's clear this is something Chris desperately needs.

He also needs to be clean of any new convictions.

I really don't think Chris could handle being in jail for a few weeks, I just see him pissing off the other inmates. Even if he was in Ad seg I don't think he would make it and come off any better for it.

For Chris this isn't just another "Pay a fine and maybe deal with some probation" he had in the past, he actually needs to show the court he is working to improve his life. I would argue this is more of a "punishment" for Chris then just a fine.
