Massive tax and regulation cuts aren't giving breaks to big businesses?
Massive tax and regulation cuts helped
everyone, big businesses are just the largest number on the drawing board, and percentages have a way of making big numbers bigger. I don't want to leap on the whole "How fucking dare you" beat-wagon that you seem to have stirred up because frankly the fact that you hate Republicans
that much and you're still here and
angry is good enough for me, and the beat-wagon is a really dumb idea because that's how Side B got to where they are now, but seriously as bullshit as it sounds on paper, you don't help anyone by hiking taxes and tying up businesses with even
more regulations.
Businesses will just fuck off. They
already fucked off because of this, and hiking taxes on the rich is a fantastic way to kick-start a
capital flight if you're just itching to create Venezuela 2.0. All of the tax cuts and regulation cuts were designed to do one thing: Openly encourage
big businesses to come back to America for their manufacturing instead of bunkering down in competitive "tax havens" abroad. As a side-effect, your average Joe Blow gets to keep more of his paycheck, and a Mom & Pop store is easier to start up and keep rolling than its ever been.
The fact that the rich got the biggest benefit is just a numbers game, there was no possible way to avoid that without having every single person with a million dollars just fuck off and move what's left of their bank account to Timbuktu or some bullshit, but that means that they'll be keeping their money here instead of those tax havens again, which means even more money
stays in our economy.
