this Gamergate 2.0 saga keeps giving me Rogan flashbacks, especially to every time he said "they're writing articles! articles!" and Rogan would ask "but have they written these articles yet?" and Sarg'n's response would just be "no, but they will."

Lets assume, somehow, with the intervention of Moloch, Sargon gets Donald Trump to tweet about gamer gate. Maybe he won't see it Sargon's way. Maybe he'll just go for a surface level play and catch everyone off guard by saying 'harrassing women over videogames is bad. Harrassing women is bad. Stop it, get some help.'

What then? The media can't just throw away its sacred cow. Trump basically boxes them in if he goes that route. They CAN'T say GG was good. They'll still say he's just lying or being disingenuous, but normies would see the media attacking Trump yet again for little reason. The smart electoral way is to go OPPOSITE. He gains nothing by endorsing it. He pushes all his enemies on their asses if he refutes it. To anyone not rabid, it'll seem like journalists are attacking him over defending women.

Calling gamergate a women harassing movement pushes his opponents between a rock and a hard place. If they go against him, they risk alienating low information voters and moderates. Going with him risks alienating their base.

Defending gamergate energizes his enemies and makes everyone wonder what the fuck he's talking about. The low information voters do a surface level google search and wonder why Donald Trump is defending a movement that harassed women. His base ISN'T energized, because they have no fucking clue what he's talking about. He literally gets nothing out of it.

Trump is more likely to burn gamergate for an easy win with 0 consequences. Who is he going to lose because of it? A handful of speds who care about a dead hashtag? Fuck 'em. And with it, Sargon. Because once Trump reinforces that, he's NEVER getting anywhere in politics.

Yah, Even with his base, defending gaming would probably lose more support from pro-censorship fundy Christains, and NRA-types where it's politically in their interests to frame gaming as the cause for school-shooting (and a keep focus off gun laws), than it would win support from gamers.

And especially, to a guy Trump's age, video games = kids = non-voters, so why stick your neck out?

I don't remember this video fully, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but during the pizza-gate dibocale I remember he put out video on actual elitist child raping centers and talked about it. He showed drawings from the children displaying what had happened to them. What struck me was how genuine he was about how disgusted he was about the whole thing. (As in he didn't seem like he was exspoliting the whole thing for shekels..... What changed is je became so transparently fame hungry.

I think there's a decent chance of that. There was a brief time when I enjoyed This Week in Stupid. At first, I thought it was like a half hour or so of the unusual story section newspapers and their websites used to have. Pretty quickly, I noticed that "Stupid" had one very specific definition and the series itself just turned into Carl shouting at news articles about blue haired feminists for 30 to 90 minutes

It's got great branding and a great following, and all he needs to do is skim a clipping service set to the topics he usually covers for an an hour or less every morning then shout over the best parts he found on Sunday. Carl is foolish to give it up
