I think it's funny to compare sjw art to animu art because their priorities is completely different.

Anime art usually tries to look pretty and/or cool, and even lazy mediocre animu art can achieve that. SJW art doesn't, it only to be unique, comical and/or diverse but thanks to how oversued it became now the style looks incredibly lazy at best and ugly at worst.

I think the perfect example here is simply to remind us of the thundercats reboots. The 2011 reboot was panned by fans for being "generic anime" but the new reboot somehow manages to look 1000x times more "generic".

The reason he wore that glove was to hide the progression of the disease on his hands (vitiligo tends to affect the extremities first), and he rarely spent time outside because vitiligo is very sensitive to sunlight. In other words, it was very painful for him.

Also, does the artist give all their black characters freckles? Or is it just convenient that instead of them all being fat they're just all freckled in this set? Sounds really generic, almost borderline "black people can't be black unless they have freckles everywhere".

If they can convince themselves that Mineta is just a poor wittle AFAB being posioned by toxic masculinity just to be seen as cis then they can give the character a pass for being horrid. That's the way a lot of trans HCs are.
