BTW, Phil apparently recognized someone who was tipping tonight as the guy who used to do big tips and cheers during PUBG (theSpiccoli, if I'm not mistaken, although they weren't named on any of the tips) and flat-out asked him to come by for Blackout streams to do some more big money donations.

Also, thirdeyethethird is unbanned and cheering again.

It's not exactly a scorching hot take, but I'd count on a minimum of 2 begathons. One at Thanksgiving, one at Christmastime (maybe even on Christmas Eve/Day, for extra pity). They worked a trick for him last year, and he seems to be counting on it again. The real question is which whales are going to actually give their money up. Swagginz seems, frankly, really tired of Phil's shit (to the extent that he will openly mock Phil in chat), but that doesn't mean he won't drop a big tip or something. Austmink has been present but not cheering much, if at all, in the past couple of months. Tut's doing his wildcard shit.

Infinite, blaine007, goldencolts, grazydream, and hemanoma can pretty much be counted on to give big. That Flybeast guy that shows up every once in a while with a big tip will undoubtedly show up too.

Should be interesting to see how it goes.

Edit: Seems there's some confusion about Phil's taxes:

The 4k-8k is federal taxes, which have previously been estimated at ~16k per year. This would square with Phil having put his Tut-inflated money into the previous quarterly payments he didn't make, and perhaps having made the 3rd one (Sept 15th, I think?).

And let's be clear--the $10k from December was for the entire month, not just the begathon fundraiser. The fundraiser pulled in like $3k.

"Matching estimated tax payments to income. If you receive your income unevenly throughout the year (for example, because you operate your business on a seasonal basis or you have a large capital gain late in the year), you may be able to lower or eliminate the amount of your required estimated tax payment for one or more periods by using the annualized income installment method. See chapter 2 of Pub. 505 for details."

Large capital gain late in the year, lol.

"1st payment - April 17, 2018 2nd payment - June 15, 2018 3rd payment - Sept. 17, 2018 4th payment - Jan. 15, 2019*"
* You don’t have to make the payment due January 15, 2019, if you file your 2018 tax return by January 31, 2019, and pay the entire balance due with your return.

Tax attorney is still there and still helping him, I'd wager, and completely oblivious to the slanderous comments DSP made about him. I picture some crusty old man with rimless glasses who was one of those JD/CPA types who do nothing but try to fuck Uncle Sam as hard and as fast he fucks you.

The tax attorney is more likely just his old college business teacher who uses TurboTax to help out his best and brightest student he ever had.

Also, it's a Mass Effect reference. If it were Bryan he'd use some sort of outdated meme or chan reference.
It could be, but I think it was just a singular entity in the games (although it's been a really long time since I played them). I think it's more likely that it's a reference to the hacking group that published all those NSA spy tools a year or so ago.

Either way, it definitely doesn't fit Bryan's pattern. I'd say "maybe he finally learned something" but we all know that's not possible.

HUGE speculation time, I am not an accountant or tax attorney etc.

By the middle of the year DSP acted like the mid 2014->2016 (~2.5 years) of Washington state B&O backtaxes were paid off. With the ~$2K figure target of December 30th's fundraiser, plus actually getting well over $5K tipped between November 23rd 2017's backtaxes reveal and the end of December 2017, for the current 2017 B&O tax, this implied ~2.5 times as much so $5-10K+. This implies a couple of things:

1) For some reason, a monthly payment plan was not done (state figured he had more than enough to pay it off outright? DSP thought it'd be better to get this out of the way ASAP?) and DSP paid it all off around the summer or earlier.
I figured a monthly plan was inevitable and if it was a lump sum he's screwed - no way to get $5-10K+ if he's on the edge of failing to pay bills as he says regularly. But this attitude got me thinking... what if he used the money for his optional quarterly early payments for 2018 federal IRS taxes instead? Backtaxes are paid off, now just got to worry about 25-75% (he might have skipped the third quarterly payment too) of his federal taxes to pay it all in early 2019 for the IRS deadline.
Again, I don't understand how US tax payments work, but it seems like these quarterly payments are a good idea BUT optional - you could just pay the entire amount when it's due in early 2019.

2) He really is on a monthly payment plan, but this is an elaborate pity party to bring in more money since people can speculate how he handled his taxes, and how he'll explain it in a similar way when he decides to start the emergency fundraising season.

Another thing to remember is a cost we didn't know about for the November 23rd 2017 backtaxes reveal: Kat's flying staycation visits. That was revealed in early December so he could admit for the 3rd staycation he had a girlfriend and hinting this is why he'd needed a few days off in a row each time. So where did this money for her flights and whatever expenses he had showing her a good time come from? No clue for the first 2 (perhaps the several hundred dollars in tips from the July 2017 false Rockstar strikes helped? If I remember correctly that was after the first but before the second staycation).
My point is that the 3rd staycation and paying for her move would have sucked money from the thousands of dollars in tips during November and December, so we can't just say 'he needed all $5K+ for taxes'.

So this is my theory on how he can cry for taxes again - he just delayed the inevitable by using money he would have paid on IRS taxes to pay the Washington state B&O backtaxes. Cough up again everyone, he'll need another few thousand dollars in the coming months.:stress:

BTW, Phil apparently recognized someone who was tipping tonight as the guy who used to do big tips and cheers during PUBG (theSpiccoli, if I'm not mistaken, although they weren't named on any of the tips) and flat-out asked him to come by for Blackout streams to do some more big money donations.
theSpiccoli was the 'bounties' guy, offering up to thousands of bits if DSP achieved certain goals, like top 5 in a PUBG match or getting a perfect against someone in Dragon Ball FighterZ. I don't recall if he tipped much, but that cheering bounties gimmick is what I remember him from. DSP wanting that Battle Royale bounties money out of Blackout makes sense.

How much did his Nov. 2017 begging bring in? (Edit: I think @EddyB43 just answered this) I'm just laughing that he's already setting the stage that he needs his paypigs to give him 2 to 3 times the amount extra that they gave him last year to pay 4 years worth of his state B&O, just to pay his 2018 Federal Taxes.

Okay, since my prediction came through and Dave stated that one of the 'something special' sub goals that he owes chat is going to be a very special DrunkSydePhail Christmas Pay My Federal Taxes beg-a-thon, I'm thinking his plan is to turn his daily begging into overdrive and then hold 3 'fundraisers' in Nov., Dec., and end of March/early April to try to make this 8K he claims to need.

Turns out even the stabling fees for a skittish, unreliable nag are exorbitant, especially when they keep demanding cloth-of-gold horse-blankets, designer horseshoes, and Vajazzled feedbags.

Edit: I'm rating this 'hacker group' autism as :optimistic: and :dumb: due to the claim they 100% already have DM's that prove tut = BSV.

I've gotta ask if you're being serious about this part or just paraphrasing. I love the idea that Phil thinks a beg-a-thon is a reward for his fans. "I'm giving you a prime opportunity to pay me lots and lots of money. Merry Christmas ya worthless humans."

But surely you are paraphrasing right? He can't seriously think a beg-a-thon is a reward for his viewers?

Let's look at how Dave has been saving money since last year...

Paid to fly Kat out plus bought her clothes, phone, etc.

Signed up for Schwan's frozen food delivery service.

Possibly pays for annual Xbox live membership despite playing his PS4 almost exclusively.

Continues to let the Connecticut condo sit empty and pay mortgage on it.

Pays for a wrestling subscription and Netflix.

Buys Final Fantasy and doesn't play it.

Buys a noiseless fan for the office because he's too lazy to hook the air conditioning back up.

Continues to drink bottled water instead of tap even though he owns a Brita water filter. Drinks at least one $2-3 energy drink per day.

Claims it's not Kat's responsibility to help him pay his bills. If she was sharing the burden he could put money away for the taxes. Instead she buys her own PS4 pro with her tax refund.

Possibly bought the gaming chair, PS4, and 4k television. This is speculation and one could reasonably believe they were all given to him for free.

Continues to pay for two internet lines because he thinks he has to.

I'm sure there are things I'm missing. The point is, DSP is not making sacrifices or honestly trying to cut back on his lifestyle to prepare to pay the taxes he knows he has to pay.

It's kind of shady that not only does this guy expect strangers on the internet to pay his wages, he wants them to pay his taxes too.

Fuck, sorry. I can't find it. I think it's my new meds fucking with me. One day I'll think something might have happened, and then three days later it changes into 'I definitely remember that thing happened'. The closest I could find was in this pre-stream recap where Dave says that 'later this year any Patron that gives him $5 will be working on the Christmas event he plans on doing.' That may have morphed in my memory to confirmation that this event was a sub-goal reward due to Patrons voting, and that the event would be drunk Phil hanging out doing begging and ranting. Like, I still feel certain I saw it posted that this event was a sub-goal and would essentially be last years Christmas beg-a-thon part 2, but that most likely didn't happen and I'm misremembering :(
So I believe Sky GoddessWagginz has 3 months left to keep his promise to give Dave a $1,000 bitch here, 100,000 bits, for the low price of $1,400 or Dave has every right to throw a tantrum, call her a liar, and roast her in front of chat.

Dave just did the 'REEact to my old videos that I've never watched any part of at all even 1 single time', and he is doing the costume and marathon, so that's 3 out of 7 sub goals he owes chat.
Can someone who pays closer attention than me tell me if he held the Patron's Choice playthrough vote? I remember hearing him ramble about September being a double reward because you get to vote on the costume and ???; was it the Halloween marathon games, or the Patron's Choice?
He still owes chat a 'DSP Tries it' that he's stated will happen whenever the fuck he feels like it (Never), a 'something special' that he has no idea and has to think up, and a 'something else special' that he maybe already has an idea for and seemed to verbally indicate may be in connection to the Halloween marathon.

Okay, I just had a funny idea. What if both 'something special's end up being a very special Thanksgiving & Christmas DrunkSydePhail beg-a-thon?

  • Starts out with claming his playthrough of Mega Man 10 become epic on YT, so epic that people made music remixes of it, which in turn also became huge on YT.
  • Claim he did his first PL on a whim and started recording in the middle of the game Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed after saying "Im so angry at this. i want to record this!". Supposedly only got a few thousands views in a few days.
  • Claim that after filming highlights of Dead Space and glitches and stupid things going on in Mercenaries 2, while drunk, and it took off from there.
  • Claims he got huge by messing around with gameplay, having fun with it, being reverent with his commentary, but only some times was he immature with his commentary!
  • Claims that he probably put out more videos a day than any other single person on the internet.
  • Claims that he is a holdout of his generation, the generation that does raw gameplay and that he feels good that he stays true to himself after 10 years of doing it and daily put out daily entertaining content, covering all the hot new releases and people still comes and hangs out with him and have fun.
    • So tell us Phil how you covered eg Monster Hunter World? Super Meat boy and Binding of Issac:Afterbirth/+? Kingdom Hearts?
    • There are still a large number of people who does raw gameplay with impromptu commentary over it and some gets more views on a single video than Phil does on a entire week.
  • He will play Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise on the late stream!
  • Thinks people are interested in P7 again because he showed it when watching his old content and someone made a new remote with Deathface.
  • View attachment 557194 The 4 new emotes might not be permanent if he finds someone better or more fun, but if you are a skilled artist or grapichdesigner you can go to his forum and jump in on the fun.
    • What fun? Last time i checked his forum it is like the same 10 people posting in there and most parts of the forum is barely used.
  • No one is critizising his now much longer YT videos, but they are making him way less money than before.
  • If you like him playing Max Payne, watching his old videos, if you are into indie games or if you like Halloween? Give him money on Patreon, because then you get access to "forming" these events eg you get special forum access and you get to vote on what games he might play in event if you give him $5 or more.
    • Yes, give him $5 and you get to vote on a game... sorry, you get to form the event!
  • Later this year any patreon that have given him $5 will be working on the christmas event he plans on doing.
    • Great another event where people will vote on a game and he will put some christmas lights in his "office", dress up stupidly and tell people that he is much better of with their money than they are.
  • If you give him money on Patreon you will get unprecedented control over his event and the stuff he does.
    • Thats why he havent done DSP Tries It yet, despite people asking for it? Thats why he has refused to play the games patreons have chosen for him to play?
  • Let's not forget the awesome perk of paying $20 for a private Q&A video and all the other massive awesome stuff you can get, but he wont say what it is.
  1. All you have to do is give him $1 on stream and he will answer your question!
  2. He wont say what awesome stuff because there is none!
  • Since it is his official 10 year anniversary day please visit his Teespring store and see if you find something you like *hint* *hint*!
  • Same old rules as before regarding cheers and tips so he can have a fun and chill stream.
  • Mention all the subs he got last month, but doesn't mention Tut.
  • Claims that if you sub to his channel you get a number of benefits, you get to use his cool emotes, no advertisment and you get a "cool" crown next to your name.

Took him 9+ years to learn that you cant put out your entire life on the internet and everyone will be nice towards you.

Goes on about how it is a nice document you bring with you to other countries and they stamp it with the countries!
  • View attachment 557233 He is unsure if the things he have read in the news about Amazon employees are true, brings up that he dont know how it will effect Twitch.
    • Your not a employee of Amazon Phil, so no worry!
  • Claim he is always happy to see companies treat their employees more fairly and more human since big companies now days dont treat their employess as humans, just numbers.
    • How did you treat Respect the Pact, Howard and Rambo Phil?
  • View attachment 557245 He didnt do a thing, Kat just started her work earlier than before, some days she works day and other days she works night and when she works night he dont know what to do by himself. Since she work night he can run his late stream a little longer than earlier, but it wont happen every day.
    • So if she works night, how does she sleep with him sitting in the next room screaming about how stupid games and it developers are?
  • Claims he been successful for the last 10 years.
  • Claims people wonder how he can continue on doing a lenghty JRPG stream if only 200 people show up for it and he claims they support him enough for it.
    • He dont pull much more on other streams and they support him after he begs them to.
  • Claims that Mega Man was created by Keiji Inafune.
    • Mega Man was created by Akira Kitamura and Keiji Inafune is just the artist who designed a more artistic Mega Man based on Kitamuras pixelated art.
  • Pre-stream 1 h 3 min with "music", 43 min with out "music".
Edit:
Swaps to his live stream and i hear him saying how he happily cheated to beat a Mega Man boss because he dont have the time or wants to learn the boss moves to beat him because he dont wanna go through such a badly designed level again.

He didnt use codes or anything, just E-tanks.

but go on phil, tell me how mighty you are, and how pathetic we all are and how were all jealous of your life
