I've had a strange thought: Is it possible Chris is not as crazy as we think he has become, and in fact knows perfectly well that all this latest crap from the end of the reign of the Idea Guys until now is completely made up.....but he thinks his followers are slow in the minds who will swallow it and give him shekels and asspats? Like an autistic Peter Popoff?

Or to put it another way, he's trying to do to his viewers what the idea guys did to him?

Some things to consider:

#1 He has always over-estimated his own intelligence and wit, and under-estimated those of everyone around him.

#2 He knows he has been able to successfully counter-troll some of his tormentors in the past. An excellent example is "Rollin' and Trollin" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MD4AulkzdJE Where a sizable percentage of the :epik: believed they had been sucked in by a master troll.

#3 He was screwed out of approximately $6,000 by the Idea Guys. He wants to recoup this loss, and since what the Idea Guys did worked on him, in his mind he would think that surely the same tactic that got him would work on everyone else.

Being autistic as well as lazy, he figured the best way to do this was to use not only some the same tactics (except for those that are beyond him such as doctoring YT videos) but much of the same material that Idea Guys did, along with tying in some new things but in such a slap-dash way that it comes off completely crazy to everyone who is not CWC.

It's also transparently clear that he is fishing for money in his tweets, to the point that he even tries to invoke his poly-family to get donations. But again, he did it in such a lazy way (typing out ZZAAP!! and shit when pretending to be Magi-Chan) that it comes across as just retarded and crazy to us.

Going against this theory is the fact that Chris has never been able to focus on anything with the discipline that would be needed to pull something like this off.

But money can be a large incentive and we here have no idea how much money he gets from his followers who don't post anything out of fear that they might get the attention of The Farms, or just don't want to post give him monthly. If he's been raking it in, he has a very strong incentive to keep his illusions running as long as the cash keeps rolling in.

Any thoughts on this?

I think Chris is sliding into being truly delusional. The recent sales are a result of well meaning (or not so well meaning) "helpers" trying to tell him how to cash in on his internet fame. But making money isn't what Chris needs to get more stable. He needs a more stable environment, without the pressures of 14BC and without the internet interference of well meaning and not so well meaning "helpers". Chris should be in a group home where he gets real face to face socialization, supervision to prevent the inevitable trouble he causes for hiimself, and training to be able to be more self sufficient. If he got that, he would have a chance of being independent. I'm not optimistic that is going to happen though. I see more and bigger crashes in the future.

I really wish this was the case, but it isn't. Chris most likely has paranoid schizophrenia, which has been compounded with the recent traumatic abuse he's been receiving from the idea guys. There's no whacky or zany way to negate the fact Chris is a very broken, sad, autistic, and neglected man. He needs to have constant supervision in a homing facility by trained professionals, not internet experts. Game over. Roll credits.

Semi-related question: have we got any insight on how Chris' memory works? How far and how accurately can he recall events of his past? Cos time and again he's shown not to be able to put even recent events into perspective and learn from them, but rn I seriously doubt his ability to put himself in the Rollin' and Trollin' mindset (and if he has any memories of that, they are now most certainly corrupted by a thick coloured puzzle filter)

With "Rollin and Trollin" Chris showed he can fool people with the help or planning of other people. However he's not able to maintain the :ruse: for any amount of time. Either ego or ignorance will get in the way everytime. All it took to end rollin and trollin was for people to start calling him a troll. There's now way he'd be able to keep it up for as long as he has.

Years ago, he tried convincing people that he was trolling them by acting like an unhinged autistic person. And, no surprise to anyone, he failed miserably at convincing anyone that it was all an act.

This is why I'm convinced he truly believes his current spiel about his poly loves being real/there being alternate dimensions/him being a CPU Goddess, etc. He's utterly unhinged and, sadly, is just going to get worse.

From what I've seen Chris memory seems to work just fine. He's inability to put recent events into prospective and learn from them is a characteristic Chris has always had. Its his stubbornness and fear of change that prevent him from learning from his mistakes, not memory damage.

Well the cort has declared him mentaly unstable, he is either riding this train now or he is fighting it by going balls deep into it.
Chris just can't lie to save his life, He tried to tell Nintendo he came back from a long trip in a video by panting like he ran miles, He tried to trick people into thinking he had a girlfriend(and then forgetting about her a day after), and don't forget "I'm working on it".

It's both. He tried to scam people out of money for the Hawaii trip, but he also really does believe this stupid shit.

Chris almost certainly doesn't have paranoid schizophrenia. He does not have visual or auditory hallucinations. He doesn't have the mental disturbances that schizos have. He can reliably interact with the real world without issue. To compare him with a genuine schizo, look at Terry A Davis.

What Chris has is an imaginary friend, like a small child. Ordinarily, small children get told to grow up and stop playing around. Chris doesn't have that, so he can pretty say whatever the fuck he wants and no one cares.

He really wants Sonichu to be real. He says Sonichu is real. And since no one in a position of authority, with the ability to seriously challenge him, is arguing with him about it, he gets to stomp onward.

Sonichu is Chris' Santa Claus or Slash, but way better and totally cool, with a wife and a bunch of friends.

Chris learns just fine. It's just that groups of people smarter than him constantly work to foil his learning. Like how Chris' passwords became really secure the moment someone guessed the first "Sonichu" password. Or how the e-girlfriends after Bluespike required an IRL presence to get Chris to trust them.

Chris didn't have a fear of change. He desperately and constantly changed in response to stimulus. The trolls just changed faster and tried literally everything under the sun, until they got around Chris' new adaptation.

Nigga is already talking about armageddon and seeing the Sonichu in the sky from Rosievelations, can it get much worse?

I'm not sure if he's crazy or a scammer. I suspect it's somewhere in the middle. I've never seen evidence that he has active hallucinations, IE, "Here's Magi-Chan with me!" He doesn't run around introducing people to his imaginary friends, but he obviously doesn't view the world in a normal way and Idea Guy did scam him with a fake moon ray.

Rather than a learning inability, I was speculating more of an ability to recall specific chunks of long-term past events, yet somehow being incapable of placing them into context. A very random long-term memory, sort of. Apart from high school days-related stuff every now and then, Chris doesn't seem much of a #tbt guy.

Chris isn't full-blown crazy, but he definitely isn't pretending to be getting worse to get money. As with all of his schemes, he just wouldn't be able to keep up the charade without letting it slip sooner or later. I think the idea someone had of his delusions as a security blanket from his crappy life is the most likely answer, and people like Idea Guy aid the illusion.
