I've noticed this a couple of times with Chris- for all his wheelin' and dealin' he seems to pay for a lot of stuff that can easily be sourced online. I'm not sure if it's because he sets up a subscription and just kinda ignores the expense or he's just incapable of navigating the gray parts of the internet. Maybe that's for the best, if he's afraid he might fuck up his computer... he's probably right.

I ended up getting told by Marvin that Chris was actually really responsible with his money and the way he spends it, as well as him knowing how much is in the account and what he can/can't spend on toys. Here's the caviet though, if Chris is so good at managing his money, then the real question is why the fuck is he constantly begging/lying/making up stories for people to give him money??? The answer is because he's none of the things Marvin listed, and just you said, Chris has no meaning of what money is and believes it grows on magical money trees in CWCville.

I don't think @Marvin ever suggested that Chris is responsible with money, but that Chris understands the concept of bills. He knows that they need to be paid to keep having the roof over his head. What's fortunate enough is that a lot of the bills are at the beginning of the month and that's when he gets his monthly. He might have a harder time keeping up with bills that crop up in the middle of the month but I imagine he will skirt by them by being a month behind. He has a very general idea what needs to be paid. But Chris thinks money in excess is a waste and will waste the rest of stuff he doesn't need. He would be fucked in an emergency but he always manages to scrape up what he needs. The biggest thing is that Barb demands at least half of his monthly but then periodically still shunts some of the bills to Chris to pay himself.
