So, it looks like Dylan figured out how to fully delete Tank's tumblr, cuz it's gone now. Not just all the receipts, but his positivity and his creativity and his attempt to make a life away from his abuser, it's all been scrubbed away. There's a good chance Dylan's reading this thread as he desperately tries to do damage control right now.
This thread was the #1 Google search result for "Dylan Hafertepen" with 84,000+ views in the week it's been up. It has now been scrubbed off his Google results. He likely paid a service to have it removed. Wonder if we can get it back. There are a great many horrible people on this site, but this guy is on the level of Vade or Nick Bate. He's much, much smarter than Nick and (unfortunately) unlikely to stand in front of a judge - but, like all narcissists, he cares about his public image more than anything else, including the lives he's stolen or ruined.
I'm hoping this thread blows up enough that it attracts some more people who have known him in real life who have some stories and/or receipts to add to this thread. Considering he got run out of SF for being so toxic, it's likely he's left a trail of burnt bridges in his wake.
I also looked up the #noodlesandbeef hashtag on Instagram and ran into a podcast episode from the gay community specifically discussing Dylan and his history in the scene, just posted 11 hours ago. Tried to embed it, didn't work. Just started listening to it. Apparently even as far as SF the gossip about it is spreading like wildfire.

While Jack/Tank never directly stated that he did or didn't have HIV, reviewing his tumblr makes it seem like that's something he would have shared. He was close to a guy who was HIV+ and commented about the importance of being honest about it and not being ashamed of it. In that light, and with all the other struggles of his he openly shared, it would be odd for him to have never mentioned that he had HIV.
People in this thread have tried to make of his mentions of HIV/AIDs charities and the asking of donations for such that it means he had HIV, but that charity they're talking about is where Tank worked. In the last years of his life, Tank was working at a food bank for low-income people struggling with HIV/AIDs.
Looking at his newsletter here Dylan shows a before and after transformation of the pup he groomed to replace Tank, who he called Angus, the name of one of Dylan's furry characters. This appears to be a before and after from before Angus was flown to Seattle, so this is what Dylan put his prospective pups through in the grooming stage. I’ve seen plenty of abusive lesbian relationships, although I’m not familiar with the BDSM community, so I can’t comment on that aspect. I would say the controlling aspect tends to take a different form with women. With men, it seems to be more about the overt exercise of power. With women, it’s more subtle.

Master/slave BDSM relationships that include a contract and extend outside of the bedroom are super fucking sketchy. I’m not gonna judge BDSM folks because tbh I don’t know much about it, but I do know that a healthy relationship has boundaries. From what I’ve heard, healthy BDSM relationships don't enforce the BDSM stuff out of the bedroom. They’re just a normal couple most of the time. And when BDSM does come into play, the sub is the one who lays down the rules.

@MirnaMinkoff said it earlier: People who want to be an all-powerful master who controls slaves 24/7 are the absolute last people you should be entrusting yourself to. Normal people are deeply uncomfortable with being so controlling and domineering all the time; it may be fun to take on that role in the bedroom, but in day-to-day life they just want to treat people normally and be treated normally in turn. I mean really, think of how much energy it would take to play the master role all the damn time (same goes for the slave role). The only people who don’t get exhausted maintaining that role are severe narcissists who get off on having power and debasing others.

Here (archive) is a blog post I just found from someone who knew and defended Dylan previously, who states that Rolling Stone is doing an article on the situation. I don't want to tell you what to do because I'm sure you know your situation better than I do, but if you don't want to call the cops cuz they might not even care to do anything with your tip, you might consider reaching out to Rolling Stone. If you knew Jack or Dylan, if you talked to them, Rolling Stone is interviewing people who knew them right now, and they definitely are looking to get the story out there.
