Phil is not smooth, has no grace and has no soul. He can't do anything naturally, he's an alien. Everything he does from language to social interactions are all approximations of what normal people do but there's always some little thing off with it all.

I believe this was established back when he "proposed" to Leanna, and stated that people who take their significant other to romantic locales to propose isn't reality, and he was doing it right by basically throwing a ring at her in his living room.

It's not his fault his business is dying a slow and painful death, it's the video game industry's fault. There are no new games!

Face the facts Philbert, your audience doesn't care what game you are playing. He gets the same people to watch him play a racing game, a JRPG, an action game, or a fighting game. Or even Elo Hell. The "positive" people come to talk to each other in chat and the "negative" people come to try to troll. Both groups throw money at him to get him to say something stupid. The game is just there. The game is not important. The attraction is Phil.

Unless he somehow improves everything about his personality and the entertainment value of his actual content, no game will have any significant impact on his channel.

Survival and crafting. You have to manage your food and water on top of making weapons, tools, etc. Phil would need chat to hold his hand the entire time how to do any of it, die on the first night and call the game a badly-designed piece of shet.

Yeah it's like No Man's Sky but grindier and with creepy zombies, and basebuilding is a requirement (cause every 7 days a horde of zombies will come for you)

I think 7dtd has more PVE elements and encouragement than DayZ ever had. It's also a voxel building game unlike DayZ.

I'd call it Minecraft + DayZ

No? I usually play solo. The thing is that the first 4-6 hours of the game are pretty boring; he's not going to play it long enough to even get a basic base started, let alone actually face a 7day horde, which is a good part of the game.
