10+ years of being an honest dude. Man, it's really hard to watch this dude ramble on without getting pissed off.
If he would shut the fuck up for more than 5 seconds and get rid of all the overlays, I would consider watching his stream.
Are these not the same thing? It could be I'm confusing two separate instances. I remember Phil getting the massive Cryaotic host, which was met with quitting to have dinner with Kat and the "Somethings are more important than money, real talk" vomit in chat. Who's Arturo?
Art / Arturo Sanchez / NYCFurby (twitch) is a FGC streamer and part of Team Sp00ky, pretty mean Dhalsim player, and one of the other twitch people Phil actually watches from time to time. I don't remember what game it was and I want to say it was around the first few weeks of Kat actually arriving, so Feb/Mar timeframe. But Arturo got done doing something and either raided or hosted Phil, and not even 10 minutes later Phil called it a night to go spend time with Kat. But yes, the next day he tried to give a story about he has a schedule and some things are more important than money. While ignoring the boost he could've earned.
Sure he did
From 2007
My god that sweet early streamquit, salt... was great. Long time since he was this salty I think. Soo salty.
I'm damn sure the whole "more important than money" thing was during his birthday stream. I remember him being super exceptional with the birthday cake that Kat definitely made. He got hosted by Cry that night, so unless he did the "more important than money real talk" twice, I think you're wrong. He didn't do it later either, he typed in chat just as he went offline, because he had like 2k people in shock he'd just ran away.

Definitely his birthday stream and definitely by Cryaotic.
I don't know about that dude. This game is button masher friendly. He went in knowing he was going to eat shit yet he went out eating shit and complaining the whole time. The funny thing is that this is the first time I've seen him look somewhat competent at a fighting game. If he could calm down, stop using a shitty internet connection, and keep playing, he could be good at this.
According to his review on KOGaming it is almost flawless online, however he hated the single player mode since the AI always cheated...He banned NewFaceOfCreation for saying that, no less. “You went into this knowing you would be bad and warning everyone that you were going to be bad and you were going to lose... so why are you getting so mad at the fact that you’re so bad and losing?”
Prior to wage-quitting, did he ever get his tip that he was so salty over?
EDIT: I’m also going to destroy my sanity and go back through his old Pokken Tournament online stuff because he claims that it had PERFECT netcode. I can almost guarantee he had complaints about it.

Thing is, I don't play fighting games, so I can't say flat out he's lying. But I occasionally watch Maximillian and I haven't heard him complain nearly as much as Dave. Max is constantly the gentleman, never seems to tilt and understands that while a game might have a bit of lag or dropped frames, it's for both players not just him. The difference in attitude is genuinely shocking. It's the actual difference between a professional and try-hard.
So while I kinda believe some of the things he brings up. I can't help but think it's primarily lack of skill and understanding of each games basic mechanics that does him in.
Good luck @thebonesauce, sitting through him playing a fighting game these last few years is like a test of endurance.
Every game will have some latency while playing online, some better than others and depending on the other players location and internet connection it may get better or worse.
Phils issue is he can't seem to adjust to that and expects it to be like offline play.
That has to be Rambo or Howard before he moved to Renton, didnt he have a party shortly before with his "friends" and they played some games?Do we know when the last time he played a real person, live, in a fighting game was?
