Greta Gustava Martela / Kjel Anderson & Nina Chaubal / Niraj Chaubal - Stole $350k+ from Trans Lifeline, kill count of 2+ from negligence, Founders of Sisterwood/La Zorra.
Can you link that stuff? Same with anyone else. I'm doing some of my own digging for old stuff I know about and it'd be really useful if people searched a bit too.
I'd like to request some talk on Nina's ICE adventure after knowingly letting her visa expire and then turning it back to be the US government's fault. How Greta and Pajeet used TLL's social media accounts to harass the Eloy ICE detention center despite their total disregard for AmeriKKKa's laws
I wasn't able to listen live, but just got caught up. Good job summarizing their fuckery, @Null; my only criticism is that the two photos allegedly of the interior of their dwelling are actually of the main house, which is occupied by a bunch of standard-issue Oakland NPCs. I don't know who the Squatty Potty and the North Korean flag belong to, but it's not Shrek and Donkey.
One thing that stands out for me, in a way it hadn't before, was that they blew so much TLL funding on "travel expenses" in 2016 alone. Fam, it is not that easy to spend $187,000 on domestic travel in just one year, unless you're flying First Class all the time, staying at the most expensive hotels on a regular basis, and have lots and lots of friends in every city, town and podunk town in between to feed and dump booze into. Seriously, that takes some real doing. And I'm pretty sure they were't flying anywhere because Nina was on an expired visa.
So where did the money actually go? Where did they stash it away? Did they somehow write off all their rent ($1600/month) and other living expenses that way? What did they purchase that drove their "travel expenses" up so high? Did they buy that RV they had back in 2016? Even if Kjel stayed in Arizona the entire time Nina was incarcerated, and claimed everything as "travel expenses," that's still one hell of a lot of money. Yet when they bought Troonblinka, they had to finance it despite it costing <$6000, so apparently they didn't come up with a way to sock away the money they raided from TLL as cash, or gold, or through some other means.
Or maybe they did, and they're just doing an incredibly good job of pretending they didn't until they think nobody (i.e., the IRS) is paying attention, and won't notice.
I'm asking this in part because there must be something major they bought that I don't remember, but I'm also asking because, having seen the photos of their shitty, squalid hovel, I see no evidence that they actually used any of it to feather their own nest and lead a more comfortable lifestyle while at home in their crappy little rental in Oakland. Their troonshack is pretty fucking grim. They both wear shitty, cheap-looking clothes. Whatever vehicle they drive isn't exactly new, IIRC. Since they're such true and honest women, you'd expect them to drop at least a little money on some sort of art on their walls, a nice rug, or maybe a few throw pillows, because hell--even the toughest bulldykes still can't resist having something pretty around to look at. But their place is exactly what you'd expect of two male neckbeards, except they don't even have fandom shit. Their place is both squalid and aesthetically void.
Which makes this as good a time as any to go ahead and post all of the listing photos of their place, taken when the house was for sale, because I don't think anybody's posted all of them yet. Look through these and tell me where all the money they were skimming really went, because they sure as hell didn't spend any of it to create a more comfortable domestic life for themselves:

The entry is cluttered and disorganized, that stovetop in the kitchen is disgusting as even my mother would hate seeing all that crap on top of there like that. The bedroom is incredibly messy and easy to step on something and hurt your foot or slip on something and fall. The exterior lacks "oomph" and there's too much going on, along with clutter and other junk all around the outside.
The bathroom is the least offensive area seen in the set of photos.

The bathroom was only featured in one photo, which showed neither the floor nor the tub/shower. The vanity counter is covered in a layer of grime, and there is a stack of discarded TP roll cores in the corner beside the toilet.
I think it safe to say there's a damned good reason why there are no other bathroom photos, even in a home that's as nasty as theirs.

I feel like a requirement for all Lolcows is poor money management. OPL, Brianna Wu, etc. blow their money on toys, vidya, fancy cars and the latest iWhatever but live like college bums in a squalid frat house. They also definitely don’t spend it on their appearances either.

It wasn't just Nina and Greta travelling in 2016. Most of the time when they attended an event as TLL they also flew in the other "staff". I'm pretty sure we kept track of their travels at the time as they were always flying somewhere. Even when it wasn't the whole of TLL, Greta and Nina always travelled together. Neither of them went anywhere on their own until Greta returned to Chicago to pack everything up after Nina moved to CA.
They were travelling in the RV for over a month prior to Nina being picked up by ICE, and as they characterised it as a "fundraising" trip, it's likely that every single meal - including those where they stopped off to play gigs and visit friends - was paid for by TLL, as well as accommodation before they acquired the RV (and rental cars for the times they were away from Chicago).
It's not really that hard to clock up a huge amount of travel expenses if you're disorganised. They likely flew business class and they probably booked close enough to the time of travel that they didn't get any "early bird" discounts.
My favorite stream moment was when Null did this bit with "Congrats, everyone listening to this stream is now Qualified to work at Trans Lifeline," after going into TLL's half-assed training programs. Anyone who says Null doesn't have comedic timing down can eat a dick.

I had to catch it after the fact, as well, but @Null did a great job with the live-stream . It's telling how people that didn't read or follow the thread regularly had no clue how deep the rabbit hole went. And, I'll add a special shout-out for @LordKaT's detailed research on how effective the hotline was (not that much) with answering calls that both appeared in this thread and got cited today.
Even though this thread was one that I followed as a lurker, I don't recall the $187 k figure for travel expenses that got mentioned today. That definitely surprised me. For those keeping track at home, that's almost 75% (74.8 to be precise) of the mentioned income number of $250k. For me, this raised the questions:
Was this when Greta & Nina purchased the RV? If so, one wonders if it got recorded in the TLL books as some of that $187k travel expense as opposed to a more-appropriate account.
Was the fact a non-profit telephone hotline reported such a large figure for travel expense one of the items that led to the investigation into TLL and Greta's & Nina's ouster?
I also wonder if we'll see any salt regarding this stream.
Didn’t somebody ask on call when @LordKaT called “are you trans?” And when he replied “I dunno” they said “we’ll figure it out” and hung up? It’s a moot point to bring up now but I look forward to your hella spoopy Halloween stream @Nool
TLL has been one hell of a ride and I’m glad I was here for it.
