yeah, i don't get it, it's one guy being stupid
but he's acting like GAMERS ARE BEING OPPRESSED
time for gamers to stand up or something

inb4 phil dresses like the joker.
Maybe he's throwing his hat in the ring for Gamer Gate 2. Phil hasn't been popular for five years either so it's a good match.

Merry Christmas D$P style
Dave said, while looking at his KOgaming analytics, "My average view duration on KOgaming is 5:23, even though every single video on KOgaming is anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes long. I literally have no short videos on KOgaming, but the channels average view duration is 5 minutes. Ok, ummm. . .Obviously watch time continues to go down and down and down because. . .uhhh. . .y'know, no one. . .there's no new content on this channel. In the entire month of June. . .no, from the last 30 days on KOgaming, last 30 days, I only got 7,000 views on the whole channel. . .and I made $9. There you go Arf, Arf, Arf."

Now I'm no mathematician, but this means his abandoned KOgaming channel with a 33% engagement rate is getting a $1.28 CPM during the end of June and July, typically slow months. Dave has never had DSPGaming operating outside the umbrella of an MCN for more than a couple of months after leaving Machinima. MCNs are typically able to run better ads that offer a higher payout. I do not find a $2 or higher CPM an unbelievable number for him to have been getting. Especially during Q4, I lately have been thinking, with Dave opting to skip his Quarterly Tax payments, that his entire plan for this fiscal year seems to hinge on him making a fuckton of YouTube ad revenue during Q4 and having the excess earmarked to pay his taxes next April. I think what he's really freaking out about is he always assumes that Q4 will be huge for him with new releases etc coinciding with a large upswing in ad revenue and his 1 million views per month from his old uploads on DSPGaming earn him a large sum of cash.

He's literally crying about getting paid the exact same rate as every other YouTuber on a personal AdSense account. He doesn't even seem aware that ever since the bitchfit he threw that got him shitcanned from Machinima a $1 CPM has been average on YouTube. He's painfully clueless about fucking everything!

Oh, I 100% called it. He's relying on increased ad payments during Q4 on YouTube to pay most of his 2018 Federal taxes and after seeing the average YouTube CPM he is freaking out and realizing that for his shit tier channel he may not even see a significant CPM increase during Q4.

Also @actually I was looking at old posts and apparently in Daves Twitlonger from April where he says he's 'over the hump' on his 2017 fiscal year Federal Taxes, but refuses to state specific numbers because detractors, he states that he skipped his 2018 Q1 Estimated Income Tax payment that was due the same date, April 15th(really April 17th due to the 15th being Sunday and the 16th being a Federal Office holiday). Somewhere along the line I'm pretty sure I remember him openly stating he didn't make a Q2 payment on June 15th either, but I think Sept. 15th came and went without a single mention of EIT payments.

I'm laughing at the idea that the $4 to $8K he was buttering his fans up to donate extra to him was with Dave calculating based on getting a huge CPM bump and an upswing in views. The idea that this may end up being the low-ball begging goals for him. . .well, whoever said he would start demanding tips ala LTG may not be that far off ;)

Every few months Phil pulls the "MUH TAXES, NEED A FUNDRAISER" bullshit and every single time I'm still amazed at how his fans never ever ask how much he needs to raise and why the $100k+ he makes every year (not even including Kat's income) is not enough, especially this time around since he got a ton of money from Tut the last couple months. Will any of them dare to ask him where the fuck all that money went and why he couldn't use that to pay his taxes? I wouldn't hold my breath on it. They'll just pay up like the good little paypigs they are.

So how did Phil's "PREMIERE" stream of RDR2 go?

It's happening now.

Thanks for looking that up. I'm wondering if he didn't mention the September one since that was right in the middle of Tut-mania, and he figured he had his taxes covered. Now that Tut's (mostly) disappeared and that magical CPM bump isn't happening to the extent Phil was counting on, he's realizing that he's gonna have to come up with a significant chunk of change. If I remember correctly, I think @SoapQueen1 came up with an estimate of ~$16k in federal taxes, assuming an income of $100k. That more or less matches up with the rough numbers Phil has hinted at indirectly.

If he's actually not paid anything yet, these..."fundraisers" should be interesting. His absolute best one got him ~$3k, and that was with all the muh house and please muh girlfriend stuff. After Tut and everything, I'm not sure this one will be quite so successful. That said, I'd not be surprised if he surpassed $1k and even got to $2k.

And somewhere in the middle of all this turbo-begging, daily tip-goals, and beg-a-thons to get his speds to pay his federal tax liability on his income for him he still owes chat sub-goals from months ago. Rewards they already paid him for and have heard barely the whisper of a rumour of when they will get them or been blatantly told to fuck-off for asking about and told only trolls care about them.

He owes 2 'something special's, one of which he indicated Patreon voting would be involved in for a 'December event' so even if that sub-goal special reward is not a beg-a-thon it still will be a special event you have to pay him $5 to get any input on; he also owes a DSP Tries It.

On the other hand I'm wondering just how little the pittance Kat's wages are that she can't help out with any of this? I'm sure she could get a 2nd job as a gift-wrapper, if she goes to the gym and plays vidya she certainly has extra time and physical energy to contribute to the roof over her head a little. Maybe she could start making and selling decorative soap-bars on Etsy, did Dave actually throw out all the supplies he paid thousands of dollars for to start Leanna's soap making :autism: ?

So much to unpack here...I think in mental gymnastics it's close to a perfect score.

Delusional and contradictory!! Wow

He has to know that the pre-streams are mostly just fodder for detractors, considering his fans complain about their length constantly. Luckily for us, his ego dwarfs his good sense and he continues to do them because they are clearly his favorite part of every stream - they're when he gets to talk about shit he has no knowledge of like he's the expert, he is the true center of attention (not the game), and it's a truly one-sided conversation, just the way he likes it.

His hubris will NEVER let him let go of the pre-stream 'vlogging'. I honestly believe that they are what is keeping him sane after all these years.

Hey for once MR. Dark was right, there is a silent majority that like his prestreams. Problem is it’s mainly detractors tuning in for daily stupidity fuel to use against him. But they are silent, if you don’t count YouTube...and the farms...and twitter...and the occasional ones that troll his chat. But other than those places it’s silent!

He should definitely keep on with his prestreams, as there do most of his hilarious opinions come from. Also the very fact he still does these prestreams which nobody wants, not even fans, is funny in itself and says a lot about his character, without even explaining it.

Damn, what a week this was.
Dave doesn't understand hyperbolics (or memes). He "baits" trolls by saying he needs money. He believes he established or even invented the word "playthrough". I don't know what's up with Dave these last days but I'm happy to listen to more of his dillusions. This guy is even more mad in the head lately than usual. And I feel this wasn't even the main explosion we are waiting for.

If he was truly offended, one would think he would not be doing a 2hr 9pm 'midnight release stream' in lieu of his normal 2nd stream. Someone who acted on their principles ( beyond random Twitter rants ) would have abstained from playing the game as soon as it released in their region. Opting to play the game at their leisure during a normal stream time. D$P, however, had his rant and held out his plate for the cake too. To his credit, he did not have his whoreboard up though this may have been a calculated move to hide how low the stream 'interaction' was ( two $5 tips I believe with enough quarters tossed at him to make more than the $7.25/hr Federal minimum though I doubt he earned the $15.45/hr Seattle minimum wage rate). If stream interaction continues as it has been trending recently, D$P may not be able to continue to claim a 'regular white collar job' doesn't pay as much as his current one. I'd go so far as to wager that Khet made more ( $15.45 x 2 = $30.90 ) than he did during his 2nd stream on Wednesday with his single $5.01 tip + the random quarters.

I think SC was his 1st stream and DQ was 2nd now that I think about it. Soooo. Um....1.5hr prestream + 3hrs +/- of gameplay with a net of one $5.01 tip + random quarters Vs. ( $15.45 x 4 = $61.80 for Khet ).

Wow, I can practically taste the salt from that latest shill rant. He's always like this around big releases lately. I think it's because it reminds him of what he is - a circus freakshow. No normie who genuinely wants to get hype for a big release will watch this disgusting parasite play the game in silence with a dour expression on is face, only interrupting occasionally to make pig noises, read inane cheers and dismiss them, and bitch at his chat for not paying him enough money. So for big releases, he actually ends up doing worse because the crowd who watches DSP ironically actually has something they can genuinely enjoy.

That rant though, what an astounding feat of mental gymnastics. He conflates like 5 separate things in a buzzword-laden salt fountain. He combines streamers getting the game early, the press getting reviews early, social media influencers (which is not and never has been exclusive to the games industry), PC culture, and of course those dang dirty detractors into one massive conspiracy designed to fuck him over. You know Occam's razor? This rant was basically the furthest you could possibly get from that concept. You're just boring and toxic, Phil. Simple as that.

Bonus kahntent: I was watching MrHuth's video of the rant with subs on - interesting interpretation of Swagginz's name that I really hope catches on.
Sorry for double posting, wouldn't let me edit the attachment into my previous post for some raisin.

Oooh, that's a good amount of raw compressed salt. I think I just came a little. Yes piggy, whine and flail and miss any point presented to you. These tasty roach tears.

Dave is the best in blowing up non existing problems. People play a videogame earlier, he does not. Cry me a river. He's so unbound jealous like nobody else, even so this "inequality" has no impact on his life whatsoever. I love it.

This week is awesome.

Once again, DSP fails to see that he is the problem. Even if nobody on the planet got the game early and everyone had to start at the exact same time, DSP would have less than 500 viewers. Why? Because he is not a good streamer.

He doesn't interact with his chat like a normal sane person. During his stream he said he wouldn't have time to read people's cheers because he was too busy playing the game. He was not too busy to check his phone or to ban the trolls in chat.

He at one point said he didn't hear what a character said because he wasn't paying attention. If he isn't interested and invested in what is happening in the game, why would he expect his audience to be interested or invested in him?

He made the same "joke" about the 100 hour work week three times in a row. It was not funny any of the times. Why would someone shit on the game company for this? They probably had the workers work 100 hour work weeks so the game could get finished on time.

He complimented the visuals and said they were very cinematic and it was like watching a movie. Not long after he shit on the game for trying to be "artistic" and too much like a movie. Being negative just for the sake of being negative.

So in the end, who the most people watch is not who gets the game first. People watch streamers who are entertaining and fun. People who act like they are having fun. Not people who look like they hate life and shit on every little nit pick and act miserable.

DSP continues to amaze with his levels of jealousy and delusions on grandeur. He needs help

I watched like 15 mins on and off of his Rdr2 steam via tevin last night. Snort was very boring.

Public enemy #1 summed it up pretty well: silence, snorting, occasional fake laugh, only responds to cheers. He did make a bathroom joke - which he never seems to miss. He is such a hard worker...

Phil is a miserable streamer who makes any game look like boring shit. Doesn't pay attention to what's going on with the story or the gameplay, shits on the developers, constantly makes jokes during cutscenes (especially during serious moments), sings over any music that comes up (happened with RDR 2 and he flat out said he did that to get around any potential copyright problems on YouTube), doesn't interact with his audience unless they pay up and will regularly whine to his audience when they're not giving him enough money. It's just so obvious he's not enjoying himself, which makes it impossible for any normal person watching his stream to enjoy themselves. Like you said, you watch any entertaining streamer and they can make even a shitty game enjoyable to watch by having a good time themselves and getting their audience involved. Phil's been streaming for years and he still doesn't get that, it's pitiful.

Lel, getting games early is a PC SJW thing apparently. He really is just blindly throwing buzzwords around and hoping they stick. It's like he's so frenzied from butthurt he can barely string a sentence together. "Why is Red Dead Redemption the #1 game on Twitch? Brexit means Brexit, that's why!"

Look at this guy. If you ever feel a-loggy because this piece of shit makes nearly $10k a month for nothing, remember this. Think how miserable your existence must be if you get this assblasted about some millennials getting to play a cowboy game a few days early. You're better off.
