Yup. "I love this show" claims man who says the show has been racist and offensive for 30 years. This is because he is a heavily americanized "Indian" man, trying to blend in and emulate that breathtaking mix of condescension and arrogance that think plays well with most (leftist) Americans, especially when it comes to race. Pretending that Indian people, and Apu, was tokenized like a black man all these years, when most Indian people (born and raised) have never had an issue with the character (and had found him endearing), makes him look like a retard who clearly is out of touch with the culture he uses as the only remarkable characteristic about him.
Isn't this basically the same thing that happened with Speedy Gonzales? 'Murrcans said he was racist but Mexicans loved him?
You could argue that most of Latin America identifies with Speedy Gonzales in one way or another. But even then, Speedy was amazing.
I worked at a motel that was owned by an Indian family. They thought Apu was hilarious and that they clearly did their research on Indian culture. The line "You can't sell that! Karma can only be portioned out byt the cosmos!" had them roaring with laughter.
They're authoritarians. What political wing they sit in is irrelevant. Who can't be criticised? That person is in charge.
In general, I've noticed that actual immigrants are near impossible to offend while their Americanized children are the ones who turn SJW. The only exceptions I've found to this rule are a small number of absolutely insane Indian women and anyone who is super into Islam.
For shits and grins, they should replace him with a black transexual midget whose sole shtick is to make the people of Springfield wish Apu would come back.
