- They claim to have been in contact with an officer who works at the Coos County jailhouse. The officer said Levi had been released but didn’t give a specific reason.
- Based on what the head officer for Levi’s case told them while they were handing over evidence, they think it could be a statute of limitations problem but have no confirmation yet.
- They claim they will have more information from the head officer later this week.
- The stream then devolves into standard furry degeneracy.
1. I'm not advocating they dox the guy, but they haven't exactly proven themselves trustworthy thus far and I'd say this claim is dubious at best.
2. This potential "statute of limitations" issue still makes no sense. In Oregon, sexual abuse of an animal is a C felony (ORS 167.333) and the other two violations he was charged with under ORS 167.320 and 167.330 are each either Class A misdemeanors or potentially, in combination with the violation of other laws, C felonies as well. ORS 131.125 §8 specifies felonies in Oregon have a statute of limitations of 3 years and misdemeanors 2. It seems improbable that there isn't any evidence to support the charges as the warrants would have required probable cause for search and seizure. Plus, it seems unlikely that a judge would to sign off on the warrants, unless there was some good faith evidence to support them.
3. Sounds like an excuse to brush the whole situation under the rug while saving face for the sake of optics, "Well we never heard back from the officer, guess we'd better stop talking about this so the furry community's reputation isn't further tarnished."
