Congratulations to the super geniuses of anti-CG for getting a bunch of autists with huge comics buying budgets to blow what they would have been blowing buying comics on suing one of their asshole buddies instead.
 
If we take into account his house, toys, IPs and no dependencies Waid may still have a larger reserve. I think he ran this go fund me because he didn't want to sell any of his memorabilia as well as have other people pay for his mistakes. With his renown temper i hope at some point he loses it and starts smashing all of the shit he owns, causing himself to be in further debt than otherwise.

Paying for at least 2 lawyers, with at least one being very expensive is going to hurt him though. I also wonder if Zaid was billing him by the tweet and had to be told to shut up on twitter about CG, he's been fairly quiet the last few days only raging about trump and the synagogue shooting.

This seems unlikely, but if Waid was actually paying someone $750/hour to tweet in his support, it would have to be one of the dumbest things ever done by a non-criminal cow. Jesus christ dude, just go to Nevada and hire a fucking hooker, it would be less embarrassing. (Bragging on your Facebook about your child porn is obviously worse, of course.)

Unsurprisingly it is a much better written, more interesting and more compelling ongoing story than anything the Comics Pros have published in years. I mean we haven’t see this much of an over the top scenery chewing New Super Villain since the early days of the Joker or Red Skull.

Might as well remind everyone one of the reasons he didn't come out and expose a serial harasser of women in DC was that he didn't want to risk getting sued and having to sell his toys:

Mark Waid deliberately made up a bunch of lies to attack someone he didn't like, because he knew he'd be backed up by the scumbags in his shitty industry.

Mark Waid was just covering up for another another scumbag buddy in the Berganza thing. He wasn't afraid to tell the truth about him. He just didn't want to because he didn't care, because he was one of the boys, like Mark Waid himself is now.
