Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I'm working on a thrash metal song about Chris. It's called Hostile Virginity and the first line said is "I'll break you dead" It's about 2009-10 era Chris being trapped into making comics and becoming a victim of the trolls. It has a section of chanting "fight for father/Kill the trolls". I haven't recorded it yet, and I probably won't in some time. My friend thinks that I'm just giving Chris the attention he wants, but Chris doesn't want attention.

That last point is what I don't get about Chris. He didn't want attention, yet he went around with a garish signs advertising himself as single and plugged himself in his own comic.

Well... Chris wanted attention... positive attention that opened the door to praise, money and sex. But he failed. Most men die in obscurity, but can avoid scorn. Chris is so warped and ignorant he achieved an infamy so great he should envy the obscure.

Why do you think Chris didn't want attention?

Mostly it was down to his ranting and raving about the ED page and his demands to take down the CWCki a few years ago. Morbid Boredom more or less answered my question.

So does anyone remember those three fan made CGI Sonichu shorts? One of them is on the Cwcki but the other 2 seemed to pop out of existence. Does anyone have them or are they gone forever?
Those have been lost for years. Unless the original creator still has them or they eventually turn up in some South American shack like an old Doctor Who episode, I don't think they'll be seen again.

Since Sonichu is obviously derivative of Sonichu and Pikachu, what is it that Chris's certificate of copyright actually allows him to do? Does it let him clamp down on derivative "fan" works (see: Rosechu with a pickle)? Surely it doesn't entitle him to try and make money off Sonichu.

According to Marvin, the CopyVio really only applies to the first two issues (depicting official pokeymen and Sonic, and after that, CWC is more or less legally in the clear... Chris could make money off Sonichu.

As for "fan" works, Chris would have little recourse, as the "fans" aren't trying to sell their art (which is how all fanwank survives), just trying to make him drop another tardrage video.

That kinda makes sense, but I'm not sure if "it's not copyrighted because it's Sonic and Pikachu COMBINED!" would really hold up in court, if Chris somehow started making a decent amount from Sonichu (and not by selling true and honest medallions). Even if he doesn't explicitly reference Sonic or Pikachu by name, he still openly rips unaltered concepts from all sorts of media.

no sex for him? they do not exist to him.

Agreed. I am sure he would nominally be supportive of asexuals. Unless he ran into a situation where someone's asexuality inconvenienced him at all. Then he would get cranky and exercise some mental gymnastics to explain that he is still tolerant and open of all sexualities, but that particular asexual is an exception and is an example of anti-autism/tomgirl discrimination.

But this is a pleasant enough status. If he actually knows which politicians are LGBT-friendly it is a decent motivation for voting.

True, but as I said a few pages ago, "Chris is, for lack of a better word, below the law". Sega is actually aware of Sonichu, their "hip kids" made reference to it in a promotional video. Nintendo USA has probably received word of it from weens looking to ruin Chris (as if he weren't already ruined) and basically doesn't give a damn. These video game companies would have to send squadrons of Lawyers to anime conventions across the US (and the world!), considering how many kids make a bit of taschengeld off of recolors.

Was Clyde Cash an A-log? I don't know too much about his saga.

Decide for yourself: http://www.sonichu.com/cwcki/Clyde_Cash

I don't think he was, really, although it depends how you define A-Log. When I think "A-Log", I think of people who blindly wish death on Chris for basic reasons; he lives on welfare, he's fat and autistic, he shits his pants, he drinks semen Fanta etc. Clyde, on the other hand, did a lot of very cleverly planned out things to screw with Chris because it's funny, rather than because of some death wish on Chris. Where Clyde gained access to sonichu.net in order to get Chris to produce the infamous "I'm guuuuuhhhhay" video, an A-Log with that kind of power would simply delete the site or replace it with requests for Chris to kill himself out of blind hatred, rather than use this power to extort some new content like Clyde did.

I've said it before, but people tend to view A-Logging in extremes. The either think it's saying anything remotely negative about Chris (like "You know, I think Chris is a bit overweight") or something extremely aggressive ("I HOPE THAT FAT FUCK CHRIS DIES BECAUSE HE'S A BURDEN TO SOCIETY!"). I think most A-Logging happens between these extremes. I don't think saying something mean about Chris is A-Logging but it's not limited to just wishing he was dead. I feel like that it's mostly taking Chris super seriously and being personally offended by the stuff he does.

That said, maybe Clyde was A-Loggy. Watch some of the old Audiobooks with annotations (if they're on YouTube anymore, I don't think they are) and Vivian would say stuff like "god dammit chris" and stuff that could be perceived as A-Logging. Dig through YouTube and certain big name trolls who made comments on Chris videos said A-Loggy things. To be fair, there was a time when A-Logesque behavior was perfectly acceptable and even encouraged because otherwise, you would be labeled a "white knight." The problem only came when you had people who had more issues than Chris and weren't really in a position to criticize him complaining that Chris somehow gives them a bad name. There are people who seriously think that their Sonic recolors would be accepted as a serious form of art if it wasn't for Sonichu. What drew people to A-Log was that you have a grossly overweight, probably more so than Chris, who displayed many of the same behaviors he did but claimed superiority when he in fact lacked as much social awareness as Chris.
