I don't think that those aggressively deplatforming anyone who runs afoul of them realizes that this isn't really going to help them in the long run. Certainly, in the short term, they'll shut down their critics, and tear down threats to them on some of the biggest avenues, but that's not really going to make that go away - it's going to make it go underground.

This has been exactly what's happened with every single group these clowns have tried to nuke from orbit. You don't take out a viewpoint just because you denied it a platform, you've just made them into martyrs for their buddies, and ensured they're just going to keep doubling down, albeit in a place you can't cover it.

And it's not like there's a shortage of ways they can do that. IRC has been an option for these groups literally since the internet formed, is going to be nigh-impossible for them to crack down on, and if they do somehow get every single server in the known world to blacklist their channel (for some reason), they can quite literally build their own fucking server with a fucking minimum of expense and effort. Yeah, it won't have all the cool bells and whistles of Discord, but if fucking lets them group up, share shit with their associates, and spread info between one another in real time, they're not going to care.

Only by age. Joke aside, the WSJ are probably going to release an extraordinarily vicious hit-piece on Ralph since they need to justify literally stealing chemotherapy from cancer babies (probably GG nazi cop assaulter ect)

Federal crimes. Well yeah, sure, of course not.

But criminal law provides its own, separate protections for the defense. Like they have to prove intent with most serious crimes. Youtube can't get in hot water criminally for unknowingly hosting ISIS material either.
