You could easily imagine fascist and communist states converging the point the systems are indistinguishable. Even more worryingly you could see a capitalist system like the US develop to the point where a few megacorps control speech and are all dominated by people who support one party and will cover up literally any action by that party no matter how heinous and denounce any action by the other party no matter how anodyne.

You can see it happening now in the US - the Bay Area megacorps are all run by the far left and they wanted to erase anything which doesn't match their narrative from the Internet. Google is operating in China, and China has more or less perfected a system which allows the Chinese Communist Party to do that. And in fact the Chinese communist party has evolved from Marxism Leninism to something very close to Mussolini's Corporate State.

All of which is very worrying. But instead the media tell us the threat is teenagers in Memphis posting 'Happy Merchant' and 'NPC' memes and we need to give up on the notion of free speech to deal with that. But it's all OK because it's a cartel of megacorps doing the censoring and not the government. Actually in China that's true too - China blocked all the US Internet companies, created local clones and then regulated them to make sure they censor anything the government doesn't like off the Internet.

Youtube hates this shit and they KNOW that they cannot legitimize removing this content or even delisting it. It doesn't make any sense, I agree. But that's how the system works. This is all a PR game and Youtube knows that actually banning entire human beings or arguments is thought of as indefensible by an amount of the population that they arbitrarily have decided is too high, so they avoid doing that and try to eliminate that content with quarantines and algorithms. That shit is shocking and strange to people. But they've also decided that the amount of people who see banning people for writing "hatespeech" in comments is much smaller, so they calculate that it is an acceptable thing to do. No one blinks an eye at that and they have PLENTY of examples of threats of violence and racial slurs to work with from Ralph's stream, many of which are from people who were stupid enough to link their comments with a credit card number.

Nope, I'm fully aware that globalist censorship is constantly changing and morphing threat. I'm just speaking about what happened in this particular instance. Ralph, himself, has material that is mundane enough to survive Youtube's censors at the moment. He's not the one saying outrageous shit, even when Spencer was on his show, nothing that was said that was that wild. But that doesn't mean that Youtube wanted it on their website and wasn't going to jump at a chance to delete it. The same thing will happen to Metokur and maybe even Rekeita if people don't figure out that they are making these content creators look bad.

Consider this: If someone who hated Ralph wanted to get him deplatformed and decided to try to do so via the chat, what would they say, and how would it look any different from the way that the chat usually looks? I'd argue that it wouldn't look different at all.

If you're saying the super chats were just the problem they could have just removed his ability to super chat. They didn't. They destroyed the whole network and his ability to stream on any platform, including his co-hosts, which don't do super chats. Your super chat theory is wrong dude. I get we're on the same side, but it was not the super chat issue, it was the influence issue. Ralph's audience weren't boomers. They were core demos for voters and could influence others.

You have to remember YouTube's ultimate goal is to replace TV. It wants none of this on there, and will eventually eradicate bigger right wing streams, small streams and the skeptics. It will reverse the adpocalypse by eliminating offensive content so that they can find a new market for TV. This is the plan, its been the plan, it still is the plan. The last to go will be the big ones like pewdiepie and Keemstar.

Its a loss leader for a reason. They plan on moving away from a content creation model. They just have to excise everything that will prevent them from doing that.
