Possible, or perhaps a power trip. Like he considers himself as a woman or whatever, but the Rosechus in his comic are all pretty much bimbos and just want to go shopping and eat salads, and it's the Sonichus who seem to run the show. That would appeal to his ego. Who knows.

Somebody asked him about it on Facebook a few years back and his response was basically "Because I wanna keep identifying as a Sonichu." He used Silvana Rosechu to justify the decision (because she's a hermaphrodite or whatever), but it pretty much just boiled down to him not wanting to change his self-insert's name.

This, not so deep down he still is a male chauvinist who wants to be the herculean STRONG MAN capable of lifting an office chair with a few books on it.

That's actually a good question. AFAIK Robee Sonichu became Roberta Sonichu, but is still treated as a she? Maybe deep down he can't stand the thought of Rosechu with a dick, and that's what Robee would be. I think? I can't keep up with all the trans lore, Sonichu became completely incomprehensible to me after the Tomgirl saga.

Pokemon are essentially different species. Nidoking isn't merely the other gender of Nidoqueen, it's a completely different species.

A Nidoking who is magically turned female is still a Nidoking.

A few years ago. Apparently, it was tied up outside, and somehow got loose and wandered around the neighborhood, and Charb found it. They didn't want to give it back to the owner for their own autistic/trashy reasons. The neighbor got it back, though.

Some trans women, when very far into HRT, can lactate. If Chris somehow managed it we'd probably get some extremely :islamic::horrifying::islamic::horrifying: content.

The teen troon squad is pretending to be his pokemon waifus so Chris is actually physically present with his heartsweets this time around, which is more than he got from his internet troll girlfriends most of the time.

Those two (and a handful of others) are the exception to the rule, and in their case it's because the Nidos were introduced in the very first pokemon game, before every pokemon had a bit of coding that determined its sex.

Interestingly enough there's actually a precedent for pokemon magically changing sex in-game:

Azurill is the only Pokémon to do this. From Generation VI on, Azurill retains its gender upon evolving, despite the gender ratios still differing.
