Jesus, Bob, I wear Miskatonic University T-shirts and I look like the height of goddamn class compared to that.
(Funny story, one of my bosses asked me where Miskatonic University was. Had to explain to him it was fictional. Good times.)

I’ve never watched one of his videos until now (I watched about 3 seconds before stopping) and his voice is obnoxious but he also looks ridiculous in sunglasses, a tmnt shirt, and a horribly fitting blazer. I can’t believe he’s almost 40 and this is his how he acts.

IIRC he speeds up his voice in his videos as well in order to ape Yahtzee and sound witty and intelligent.

I kinda want to read it myself, I feel it could make me truly understand how much of a shithead Bob was all this time.

The book came out in 2013, right? About a year before Gamergate, where Bob went completely mental. At this point Game Overthinker was well over 100 episodes, but I was getting into a new time in my life, so I ended up no longer viewing the show. I knew all about when Bob ended the show though.

I've heard the bits and pieces in the OP. One of which talked about how one of the games "Broke his brain" because it showed the Mario Brothers being born in the Mushroom Kingdon. If I had read that in 2014, it would have sunk into me much earlier that the man who I thought of as a Youtube Mentor at the end of the early 00s that had really lost.

I actually stumbled across an old comment I happened to make when he did formally end Game Overthinker. I deleted it since it goes against my current tone of how I talk about him, but it went over how over-liberal he talks. It was just at the time I didn't notice how raving mad he was becoming on Twitter. I was this close to realizing how Bob was going to be a high-profile lolcow as early as 2014, which would have been more appropriate and less embarrassing on my part, all things considered.

I ask because I assumed most people in this thread are either former fans or people who saw his videos.

In the early days YouTube had a strict 10 minute policy and Bob doesn't know how to be concise. Though I wouldn't surprised if he was ripping off Yartzee as well.

I myself was never a fan of Bob. I found about him through old podcasts that were done about his antics by LordKat. From there one thing led to another until I eventually joined this thread.

You don't believe this idiot could be a real person until you read up on it yourself.

To be honest I'd always assumed that's what he was doing due to both of them being at the Escapist, him being too incompetent and egotistical to edit his ramblings into a <10 minute timeframe never occurred to me but is probably more likely at least at first.

Boredom really, I was checking out various cows and read Blobbo’s tweets that were posted here.

His uneducated political autistic rants, rampant narcissism, elitism coupled with him being a fat, diabetic basement dweller with moronic opinions kept me coming back.
