Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Video Summary (all times approximate):
ALL CAPS Comics channel will now be comics stuff, ComicArtPro Secrets is now Star Wars/Pop Culture.

Around 1:41 (history shit) he talked when he first noticed SJW crap in comics (Frank Cho, etc) and the politic nature of Pros social meda (including his). He started watching D&C, realized what he and others were doing in alienating customers and he stopped. He wanted to capture that alienated audience. He announced himself Comicsgate and his pro career was over. Opportunities dried up and pros didn't want to work with him, so he started his own thing. Talked about the pizza shop incident, how he was threatened, and how he asked to leave DC early to work on Cyberfrog. He sold Cyberfrog using the principles he learned from CG and made a shit ton of money.

Around 9:30 is talks about how he started his channel and tried to help other artists/creators who were Comicsgate. Basic channel stuff and CG stuff we hear all the time. Raised 2 million, anyone who goes on CAPS will raise at least $25,000, they are harassed, etc, etc.

Around 12:00. Says the success has "raised the ire" of others in CG. Talks about the debate, restates basically what he said there. The first part of CG was to criticizes, the second part is to create a new industry to rival the mainstream. Criticism without creation is just whining.

Around 14:17 talks about the telethons, etc that he did to support CG. All the good he has done with his channel, etc. Restates more debate points, "hot dog vender" theory. He thought he was Comicsgate, but he thinks he isn't. Says CG means criticizing and "being there from the beginning". That's not him. He repeats things he has heard and believes in, but doesn't really create them. "Like somebody has been to church everyday and believes in God. I believe in what Comicsgate states for..." and basically just try to pass on that belief. That is phase two of Comicsgate for him.

17:30. He thinks that he can't call himself Comicsgate anymore, he is ALL CAPS Comics. It isn't his place to critize, only to create. He is not Comicsgate anymore. He says he is "the response" to Comicsgate. He believes in Comicsgate, but doesn't speak for it. Comicsgate is leaderless and should be.

Around 22:00. ALL CAPS Comics will feature in-depth Cyberfrog videos, live streams, etc. Comicsgate Live is dead and will be renamed into something else. He won't speak for Comicsgate anymore, only himself.


TL;DR
Comicsgate is the critics. He isn't a critic, he is a creator who believes in Comicsgate prinicples. So he isn't Comisgate, he is ALL CAPS Comics.

Based on commentary from both Ethan and TUG, I'm starting to think that Nerkish interpreted what EVS said to him in the most autistic way possible. I think EVS is a dumbass at this point, but I trust TUG to be relatively honest.

To sum it all up, rumors started floating around that Renfamous had Nerkish's dox. Ethan went to Nerkish and asked him to either start moderating his discord or to take it down. Ethan was concerned that if Nerkish's dox were released, his real identity would be associated with all of the /pol/ style shit-posting and that he would get fired. In addition, Ethan is still spooked by the Vox Day deplatforming and is paranoid about being publicly associated with anything that can get him or any of the other creators banned from Indiegogo.

Ethan had both altruistic and selfish motives to do what he did, he probably did have sincere concerns about Nerkish losing his job, it wasn't solely out of concern for his own pocketbook.

A couple of other retarded highlights. Ethan almost definitely gave him some sort of ultimatum about him needing to clean up the discord if he wanted to continue to have any kind of public association with him. Ethan also thinks that there are actual nazis on the discord and doesn't understand that it is just edgy shit-posting. While Nerkish is too retarded to understand that having his real name linked with a bunch of nazi memes could fuck up his life a whole lot more than just having his information leaked.

The long and short of it is that they are both retarded.

I'm all for EVS the businessman trying to protect his job, what I'm not for is Ethan the victim. Ethan's brought a lot of people to CG, but a lot of them talk as if Ethan created Comicsgate. There are people now on twitter acting as if Ethan's been forced out by the "powerful" jealousy of a couple of CG critics. He also refuses to accept he's formed a cult of personality around him that's as toxic as the SJWs he fights with on twitter.

Here's an example of one poor soul who thinks his dreams of making comics is over cause Ethan's says he's not CG anymore:

Then you got this guy that came over from the SW fandom taking about how everybody should be grateful to Ethan , as if Ethan hasn't made thousands of dollars off the movement that other people put the time in to build up:

Watching the Rekeita Law stream now, trying to catch up on last weeks drama.

I get EVS and Malins concerns about Nerkish discord getting them into trouble with leftist media smearing them as antisemitic etc. And I get that it's their livelihood on the line here and that it's easy for me and all of us with no financial stake to take principled stands.

But that is a losing strategy in the long run. You can't let SJW's set the narrative. You CAN'T. And this is exactly what EVS and Malin is doing, moralizing what happens around Nerkish and worrying how it will reflect on them. Of course shitflinging sites like dailybeast and such will call them nazis for whatever goes on in Nerkish discords. But they will always call everyone nazis. They called EVS a nazi for his sinestro book. They called Zach a nazi for calling a tranny a man in a wig and so on and so on. If they haven't already they will call EVS a nazi for appearing on the #killstream.

They presumably learned that you can never apologize to these people. But suddenly, when there's the cloud of antisemitism brought out, they forgot that lesson and feel the need to police their community. It will not stop there. Nazism and antisemitism accusations is the wedge that's driven into communities. Once that gets a foothold, they'll call for other "problematic" opinions to be disawowed, and why not cowtow to that as well if you're worried about getting deplatformed from crowdfunding sites?
