So wait they're hideous on purpose and the premise isn't to make fun of drag queens? On top of that they look less like drag queens and more like botched MtF troons. I'm not trans or do drag and I find this shit insulting. Granted the premise is pretty damn funny so potential is there but the art and character designs are just awful. Like chunky beehive is the only decent design everything else is either blatantly a man in a dress or just trashy.

I feel like this is going to be either a big hit with those who already like drag / tumblrites who like the center on gayness, or a huge miss with the SJW crowd for exploiting gay people.

Mainstream tumblr gives little shit about shows that don't feature cute anime teenage boys though. From the trailer it seems like the humor's going to be adult oriented as well, and we all know how tumblrites feel about animated adult cartoons with 'offensive' humor like family guy or superjail (south park is an exception because again, they're hypocrites when it comes to a full cast of young boys).

I wish the people redesigning these cartoons actually gave a shit about what they were redesigning.

The new She-Ra isn't shit because it features strong ladies - the new She-Ra is shit because it looks bland, boring, and forgettable. There's no variation in line weight, nearly no shading, not a thought given toward interesting designs or cool color schemes or nothing. If you're going to redesign something, you could ad least put some passion into it. I've seen middle school deviantart scribblings with more vitality.

I don't know why drag queens would be insulted by that art. The point of drag is to be beautiful like an art piece, as a caricature, not to be conventionally attractive (the few who think so are terrible fucking performers honestly). Hell, there's a whole niche of drag where the whole point is to be an ugly bitch. If anything I would put my money on the show being made BY drag queens. In fact, the english cast is populated by real-life drag queens such as Trixie Mattel, Ginger Minj, Willam, and Shangela.

No, the people who will be offended by this show are going to be the SJWs who think drag is transphobia and the TERFs who think drag is misogyny.
