I love how the sub comes to the conclusion the it had to be a scam to steal the drama queens phone. Having a child throw a loud ass tantrum that the whole store can hear is not the most subtle way to steal anything from anyone. Especially if that person is also throwing an equally loud fit like the child.

The real story is the poster went to subway to eat and got triggered because a mother and her kid came in to also eat, maybe the kid had a bit of a fuss because they wanted a cookie. So Op made up a fantastical story about a Veruca Salt brat that tried to steal their phone because they got double triggered by food and a child.

Bullshit. If she'd gone 24 hours without any intake at all, she'd have been unable to communicate. Borderline anorexics do tend to drink a lot of soda, however, so if this story is true, I'm pretty sure she's a wave rider--spiking her blood sugar and then waiting until she troughs before dosing again. And as I will explain in the next paragraph, that is incredibly irresponsible:

Many people become extremely irritable as they slide into hypoglycemia, because they start producing adrenaline to make it to the next sugar dose; think "berserking" and you're not far off. I can genuinely believe that she became annoyed at the girl, but I'm more inclined to think she became irrationally annoyed, did scream at the child for far less provocation, and is now trying to "adjust" the facts of the incident so that she can appear to be justified in acting like a frenzied rage monster.

TL;DR: She knew she was going to rage out if she didn't eat. She didn't take care of herself and fucked her blood sugar over. Then some poor kid caught the brunt of it, and she's trying to rewrite the story to cover her rightful shame.

That actually made me mad reading that. I don't have any kids of my own, however I do have a young niece, and I've bought her gifts every Christmas since she was born, even when she was too young to understand anything. Watching her face light up on Christmas day as she opens her gifts has brought me more joy than any gift ever could.

The fucker who wrote that tirade doesn't realize what a blessing that kid is going to be. If they just loosened up and removed that stick from their ass, they could come to enjoy spending time with their niece/nephew.

They can. It's really rare that they live to term but they can but childfree is basically full of weird fake stories and this one felt like an embellishment so childfree could debate the virtues of sterilisation for downs people so they can't procreate. It was...enlightening.

I feel that people who preoccupy themselves with a lifestyle choice which requires no effort are usually trying to compensate for a feeling of existential angst that they're making the wrong decision, and are in fact just fearful of the sacrifices they'd have to make in order to do what they know deep down would make them the happiest.

People who are comfortable with the idea of not having children shouldn't need to make a big deal about their decision, just as an overweight person who is comfortable with their weight shouldn't need to go full fat acceptance activist and lecture others about how dieting is oppressive and unneeded.
