The Awful Fursuit Thread - Viewer beware, you're in for a scare!

I have a question.

How do you clean these things? Do you have to look a dry cleaner in the eye when you pick it up and just hope he's non-judgmental?
The bodysuits can be thrown in the washer and hung out to dry; same for the hand paws. The feet paws are a bit trickier depending on their composition, but some makes can be tossed in the washer, too.

The heads, depending on the maker and composition, can be washer safe. Otherwise, like with the resin heads, they're spot clean only. There's a whole market for fursuit cleaning products, the most useful of which contain alcohol to kill anything bacteria, fungus, or mold.

The big issue, across the board, is that the foam, if it doesn't dry properly, can become a hotbed of mold. This is why a lot of cons and fursuiter hotel rooms have fans for head drying.

At first you just see the two in the middle....then you notice all 4 are just....so bad

Scaling a head to match a realistic size isn't that hard a thing to learn or do, but I guess its easier to carve a massive chunk of foam into a shape and look like a funko pop figure instead. Airflow might be better, but I feel like vision is worse due to trying to keep such a large thing on your head from flopping around/spinning, especially when moving around.
